I always thought Bond took an incredibly risky chance in infiltrating Sanchez' organization. I mean, what if the drug lord's henchman Dario (Benecio Del Toro) had been present when Bond introduced himself as a "problem eliminator"?
moore was good but the sarcasm and jokes were over, pierce was never bruised not a hair out of place ridiculous, craig is an excellent bond but dalton is the real ian flemings bond without a doubt his 2 bond films are my fave wish he had have done more bonds, i dont like that brosnan and craig get credit for what dalton first brought to the screen and moore fans couldnt understand because they got used to bond never being played as the real ian flemings one but as the naked gun type
wow great trailer.u would swear it was one of the real trailers.u captured the fun and explosive action of this bond movie.i know licence to kill is not the most loved bond movie but its always been a fave of mine.theres memorable scenes in this movie and great one liners.and sanchez is the best bond vilain.hes hilarious and so cool
Licence To Kill is one of the most underrated Bond movies (along with Moonraker) - great storyline and visual effects, many beautiful action scenes. Timothy Dalton was fantastic - real Agent 007. Carey Lowell & Talisa Soto were beautiful and very memorable Bond Girls.
Agreed - the only Actor to play the 007 of the novels - ruthless, mean, assassin. Only film to get a 15 certificate in UK. Underrated and released at the wrong time in 1989. A darker, moodier, atypical bond flick compared to Roger Moore's campier style.
NIce work pal, you really captured the dark nature and serious tone that Licence To Kill had. This is something that the real trailers back then never had. Dalton was awesome as Bond, glad to see there are others on here that know it too.
The other day i read an article in the paper about how Dalton got fired, ridiculous he resigned because he was annoyed at how long Goldeneye was going to take.
Your right that Dalton resigned from the role of 007 but not for that reason. Dalton actually resigned from the role in April '94, the producers offered him the chance to star for a third time as Bond, but he diclined siting that to much time had passed since Licence to Kill in 1989 that the majority of the audiance wouldn't remember him. Just under two months later and Brosnan was again offered the role, he had to turn down in 1986, and Goldeneye came out in '95!
Your right, i ataully watched Goldeneye last night and remembed just how gritty it was. There is a scene in it where Bond is sitting on a beach alone and the girl comes up to him and says how can you be cold, to which he replys its what keeps him alive and she says no, its what keeps you alone, very much like Dalton would done.
Sound was a bit off at moments and the cutting could be tighter but overall good job! I dare say its better than the original trailer! You used scenes that the original did not use!

Not as good as your Live And Let Die video, but still pretty good.
As for the movie, License To Kill, I didn't really like it. I liked Roger Moore's almost slapstick movies, and I also liked The Living Daylights which was a more cold and grittier Bond. But there were still some good old witty lines from Bond in that one. Which License To Kill just throws right out the window. And for me, it became too serious and action-styled, and not Bond style.
The climax of this film was AWESOME!! The movie as a whole might've been better if Dalton hadn't been forced to say some truly awful lines ("Compliments of Sharky!") and if the first third hadn't dragged so badly.
There's some really nice touches in this video, like the "I had a feeling my luck was about to change" bit. Nice one! Also, its spelled Licence with a C, not an S but thats a minor quibble! :)
Fuckin love this trailer.

And Goldeneye turned out to be Brosnan's best Bond movie, the others didn't live up to it, especially Die Another Day.

Exactly, I agree. Tim Dalton is my favorite Bond, with Daniel Craig as a close second.
wackojim 3 years ago 11
Yes Tim is the best Bond with the help of his stunt double Simon Crane.Good done Si like always.

Decent Job, the editing was on and off. But it captures what you set out to do (the most important thing)

Yep. The second-best is barely visible in the rear-view (that would be Mr. Craig, in my view).
