  • 64 meters of head? You might try a Pelton turbine instead.

  • You can still put another turbine at the bottom (spill) like a pelton type so you wont waste that still high pressure

  • I love this machine... I was thinking about put up one on our village back in the philipiines

  • How could I get this exact same set up to the USA or Dominican Republic????

  • Machine mart is were you can buy the generator from. The blades for the turbines are on ebay They are called pelton blades. but consider an old petrol generator and taking the engine of then couple with youre turbine .

  • excellent set up and video- That could run a home easy. (W/ batt bank)

  • is one of this,,can power a refrigerator?

    a 220 regular refrigerator???

  • Nice!

  • The generator(The blue unit)is a generic Chinese unit and are widely available in different sizes throughout the UK,I know their 3KW version is only about £350 a bargain,as for the turbine, you would either have to make it ,not too hard,or a local fabrication shop could do it.Some suppliers sell them but as its a "Green" item they like to rip people off like they do with "Organic" vegatables here, youll end up paying £1000 (just for the turbine) for £100 worth of parts and labour.

  • Good bit of kit,In the UK now you can pick up upto 8KW single phase 240v generators with the controller,RCCB,controls ontop, exactly the same as the blue one used here for less than £300,OK they are made in China but they are well made solid bits of kit,all you need to generate your own electricity is your own imagination, water turbine, mulifuel diesel engine running on waste or veg oil, petrol engine running on propane, methane, ethanol, the more people that do it the cheaper it will get!!

  • Thanks... for your favor.

  • what kind of generator is it? is it from ST? where can we find one in the UK?

  • where can you get the 8kw version in the UK

  • There are a number of companies that stock them have a look on google under "Listeroid" or "Lister clones" in the UK these people sell the Lister engines and the generator units upto 12Kw,the lister engines drive the gens by belts, the gens can be driven by anything as in this case a water turbine.Hope that helps.
