@TheGrandmasterMadara The non grid hack allows you to place scenery/buildings/rocks/foliage out of the normal grid. For example, you can place trees very close to eachother, and you can create rockwalls by putting rocks very close together so they overlap eachother, without taking care of the grid.
@RulerofIllusion Ok, do you have Windows Vista or Windows 7?, than this is your problem: In the installation menu (after double clicking the .exe), there will be asked for the ZT2 installation folder. You have to manually change that folder to the correct one! Here's the correct path: ProgramFiles(x86)/Microsoft Games/Zoo Tycoon 2.
Also do this while installing the patch. It should install correctly now...

@quintanafaj2009 You're right guys, about the jeep tour, but if you look closely on the ZT2 map, you can see that the Jeep-tour and the Visitor-walkpath are 2 cirkels in each other, so it was almost impossible to let the Jeep-tour be in the herbivore cages, because the path blocks the way. :D

@roshen3456 Yes, because the JP Pack contains dinosaurs which are made of the Extinct Animals models. Only the Gallimimus, Brachiosaurus and Parasaurolophus are made of animals from the original game. (ostrich, giraffe and kangaroo)
So when you download it while you don't have the EA expansion, the dinosaurs won't move ingame.

So, if you have Windows Vista or Windows 7, you have to manually select the right ZT2 installation folder (ProgramFiles(x86)/Microsoft Games/Zoo Tycoon 2) in the setup. Also, you need to have the Extinct Animals expanion or the Ultimate Collection in order to run the pack.

@Master91474 Euh, the JP dinosaurs behave just like "normal" dinosaurs, so they will only break out when you have an enclosure with the wrong (too weak) fence or when they are rampaging.

@tinychris5 Euh, the jeep feature is part of the Afican Animals or Endangered Species expansions. So, if you just buy or download 1 of those expansions, you can try the jeeps yourself. Also, if you buy it, there will be a manual inside which describes how to do it. There's also a tutorial ingame. I think there are other Youtube videos which shows the jeep ride, just search for it. In the end, my advice: buy/download the AA or the ES expansion :D
@tinychris5 just install it into your zoo tycoon 2 folder and finish but at least u must have zoo tycoon 2 expansion pack,expansion needed just marine mania and extinct animal,if u just have marine mania or extinct animals expansion u can still play with this pack but some animal can't move or just like statues but if u have marine mania and extinct animals it's gonna be perfect,i hope the information helps u :)
@tinychris5 You can go in the jeep, but you can not control it. You can create your own route. (you have to outline it before the jeeps are driving over it). Also, you can change seats by pressing 1~6 on you keyboard, so you can sit on the passenger seat. The jeeps are part of the African Animals and Endangered Species expansions.
@do501 Normally, you have to place all the objects/plants/trees/rocks within the grid, so you have fixed places between the lines where you can put anything. When having the hack, all the objects can be placed anywhere, you don't have to place them in the green grid.
I just installed zoo tycoon 2 on my computer. But I can't play it, if I launch it, then I get a message that I don't have enough MB, but that can't be right because I have a new pc with very much free space around 500 GB. So thats not possible. Can somebody help me please?
@SpankmaNSwe Hey, what's your operating system, Windows Vista? I think they don't mean harddiskspace but virtual or RAM memory. I had such a problem first too, and I solved it by just istalling all the expansion, so I don't realy have an solution for ya :(
@t0103022h That's a common problem. You certainly don't have the Extinct Animals expansion, because the carnivores have the same models/animations as the dinosaurs from the EA expansion. The herbivores however, share models with the kangaroo, giraffe and ostrich. So they won't move unless you have the Extinct Animals expansion.
@ShikigamiYanki You mean the Jeep/Safari ride? It's just part of the African Adventure or Endangered Species expansions. The jeep itself is downloaded, but the jeep ride feature is available when you have one of those expansions.

The T-rex skeleton is not a download, you can get it with the Extinct Animal expansion, all you need to do is build a "fossil hole" and an "information center" and the guests will dig up the bones wich forms various extinct animals.
@SlamIt889 I used the large map size called "Troppical Rainforest (L)", then first I deleted all the zoowall one by one with a zoowall-deletehack before I started building.

I have the Zoo Tycoon with animals only and had never seen the one with dinosaurs, although I think I would probably like it more since I love dinosaurs and the movie, etc... Anyway, great job! :-D How long did it took you?
@BJHBNE Yes, I also hope it, but it's nearly impossible. You can't fill up the gaps in the dinosaur DNA with (for example) DNA from a frog, it's like putting parts from a fat encyclopedia into a children's book. It just isn't the same :(
@BJHBNE I think lots of people would enjoy that, (as long as ALL the dinosaurs could be contained so we dont end up like the movie) But Alex is right, you would need all of the DNA to make a clone or replica of a dinosaur, if they tried it might just make a dinosaur head with its arms as ears.

@CrystalWolfXx Click download, then do NOT put in right in your ZT2 main folder. First, unzip the file and all you need to do then is double click on the .exe-file (which is visible if you extract the file). The download should install automatically then.
You put A LOT of work into this! I am amazed. I thought my zoo's were amazing till I saw this! XD Are the downloads dangerous? I mean, LAST time I downloaded extra ZT downloads, I lost a computer do to a virus RIGHT after. That was for some ZT website that gives animals. Like Unicorns and Nightmares. @CrystalWolfXx Now, downloading is not dangerous if you go to the big fansites for ZT2. Have a look a Zeta Designs, Tesara, ZT2 Volcano and other sites, you won't get virusses when you download from there.

@anoleking Euh, I think I did. I used the prehistoric foliage often because I think it's better than the normal foliage, because it looks more realistic and it is darker green.

I don't know were I got the non paid full version anymore, you can google it, just search for the latest version (currently 3.4.5) or another version.
@DirectorsFilm I use Fraps. For this video I used the free "demo" version, you can only record for 30 seconds with that version. But, I've pressed the recordbutton right after my recordtime was over, so you only can see a few little skips in the movie.
You must pay for the full version of Fraps, but you can also download (illegal) the full version for free, just google it. Now I've a full version, so I have no recordlimit.

@tinychris5 Euh, the jeep feature is part of the Afican Animals or Endangered Species expansions. So, if you just buy or download 1 of those expansions, you can try the jeeps yourself. Also, if you buy it, there will be a manual inside which describes how to do it. There's also a tutorial ingame. I think there are other Youtube videos which shows the jeep ride, just search for it. In the end, my advice: buy/download the AA or the ES expansion :D

@tinychris5 just install it into your zoo tycoon 2 folder and finish but at least u must have zoo tycoon 2 expansion pack,expansion needed just marine mania and extinct animal,if u just have marine mania or extinct animals expansion u can still play with this pack but some animal can't move or just like statues but if u have marine mania and extinct animals it's gonna be perfect,i hope the information helps u :)

@tinychris5 You can go in the jeep, but you can not control it. You can create your own route. (you have to outline it before the jeeps are driving over it). Also, you can change seats by pressing 1~6 on you keyboard, so you can sit on the passenger seat. The jeeps are part of the African Animals and Endangered Species expansions.

@do501 Normally, you have to place all the objects/plants/trees/rocks within the grid, so you have fixed places between the lines where you can put anything. When having the hack, all the objects can be placed anywhere, you don't have to place them in the green grid.

I just installed zoo tycoon 2 on my computer. But I can't play it, if I launch it, then I get a message that I don't have enough MB, but that can't be right because I have a new pc with very much free space around 500 GB. So thats not possible. Can somebody help me please?

@SpankmaNSwe Hey, what's your operating system, Windows Vista? I think they don't mean harddiskspace but virtual or RAM memory. I had such a problem first too, and I solved it by just istalling all the expansion, so I don't realy have an solution for ya :(

@t0103022h That's a common problem. You certainly don't have the Extinct Animals expansion, because the carnivores have the same models/animations as the dinosaurs from the EA expansion. The herbivores however, share models with the kangaroo, giraffe and ostrich. So they won't move unless you have the Extinct Animals expansion.

@ShikigamiYanki You mean the Jeep/Safari ride? It's just part of the African Adventure or Endangered Species expansions. The jeep itself is downloaded, but the jeep ride feature is available when you have one of those expansions.

The T-rex skeleton is not a download, you can get it with the Extinct Animal expansion, all you need to do is build a "fossil hole" and an "information center" and the guests will dig up the bones wich forms various extinct animals.

@SlamIt889 I used the white brick walls and the standard tank wall from Marine Mania to create the raptor pen. You can use the aviary from Zeta Designs for creating the Pteranodon and the zoowall delete hack is available at Tesare under the exclusive downloads form Iben. Any more questions? @BJHBNE Yes, I also hope it, but it's nearly impossible. You can't fill up the gaps in the dinosaur DNA with (for example) DNA from a frog, it's like putting parts from a fat encyclopedia into a children's book. It just isn't the same :(

@BJHBNE I think lots of people would enjoy that, (as long as ALL the dinosaurs could be contained so we dont end up like the movie) But Alex is right, you would need all of the DNA to make a clone or replica of a dinosaur, if they tried it might just make a dinosaur head with its arms as ears.

@knx26mvt Do you have the Extinct Animals expansion? Because you'll need it in order to run the pack correctly. Also, if you download the file, first unzip it and then double-click the .exe-file. Than the pack should install automatically.

@knx26mvt I think this may be the problem: the installer will install the pack at ProgramFiles/ Microsoft Games/Zoo Tycoon 2, but on Windows Vista and 7 systems, ZT2 will be located under ProgramFiles(x86)/Microsoft Games/Zoo Tycoon 2. So, while going trough the installation steps, choose the right folder in which you've installed the game.

Oh.... btw? How do you proberly download the Music Rock? I clicked download. Then put it in the prober Zoo Tycoon File and extracted, but since it's all in dutch I dont know if I downloaded the right download because it's not showing up in game. o3o Thanks in advance! ^_^

@CrystalWolfXx Click download, then do NOT put in right in your ZT2 main folder. First, unzip the file and all you need to do then is double click on the .exe-file (which is visible if you extract the file). The download should install automatically then.

You put A LOT of work into this! I am amazed. I thought my zoo's were amazing till I saw this! XD Are the downloads dangerous? I mean, LAST time I downloaded extra ZT downloads, I lost a computer do to a virus RIGHT after. That was for some ZT website that gives animals. Like Unicorns and Nightmares. @CrystalWolfXx Now, downloading is not dangerous if you go to the big fansites for ZT2. Have a look a Zeta Designs, Tesara, ZT2 Volcano and other sites, you won't get virusses when you download from there.

@DirectorsFilm I use Fraps. For this video I used the free "demo" version, you can only record for 30 seconds with that version. But, I've pressed the recordbutton right after my recordtime was over, so you only can see a few little skips in the movie.
You must pay for the full version of Fraps, but you can also download (illegal) the full version for free, just google it. Now I've a full version, so I have no recordlimit.
