  • Also, the ikea GALANT series are height adjustable. VERY nice to be able to adjust the height if you're not comfortable.

  • ikea sucks balls\

  • wow you talk fast :/

  • When I went to the KIA dealership and asked for a desk they looked at me like I was crazy : (

  • nice video but next time it would be better showing us the desk which you have :)

  • haha lol you can crawl around down there, put a light or 2 haha this is a funny video!!

  • thanks very much for that information, 3dgameman you are just great!

  • weres the most recomended plcae to put your case on the floor or on top of the desk

  • i found this video helpful but is there anyway you could give links to the desk you have or ikea? because im having trouble finding a good desk online and in your video you dont really show the desk your at so it makes it harder... links would be great!

  • ROCCAFORTE!!!!! awesome ;D

  • my desk is from IKEA too hahaha

  • LOL,I though you said it was from your KIA.

  • I SWEAR you fast forward your videos!

  • IKEA is a nice place :D. But the quality of the stuff is horrible. But IKEA FOOD is amazing...

  • ..drawers you say... ...for putting things in you say... hmmm.. interesting.....

  • i would suggest a z-line desk they go in the shape of a L but on one side it looks like a z because it has like a mini shelf i got mine for a good deal of 120$ but now their about 200$ but long term their worth it they have glass tops most ive found aren't black like mine but still a good deal

  • actualy i prefer a table

  • I need a desk that can fit three acer h233h monitors on.I'm looking at the gaming computer desk with hutch on amazon.

  • im getting the IKEA Fredrik most likely. Simple Design, good depth, and big enough for anything that would apply to PC Gaming. also only $100

  • buckle up Dorothy we're not in kansas any more!

  • If you want a PC gaming desk, just build your own. Just look at some online and copy their design.

  • ikea is trash! pressboard nonsense.

  • Nice idea. I think I am going to put green LEDs under my desk and have a rave party under there waiting for my group in dungeon queue lol

  • yeah same but i dont know any sites that you can get LEDS that can be fitted into stuff like desks. help if you know anywhere please :D

  • WIN!

  • @jjklumiar you actually made me lol, and I dont lol that much

  • My Desk has white scratch marks like ripples but they are not textured...I Think the marks are underneath the finish.

How do you get rid of those marks?

My finish is a Light wood/ almost oak

  • LOL

  • at least you show us your desk rodney next time....

  • I've only seen two things from 99.9% of his videos.

1: looking at him like always

2: when he reviews a product we see white room/area.

I want to see the rest of the room for once!

  • yeah thats correct... thats what i want to see too

  • maybe it's a secret white room with a portal into time/space continuum

    damn it.....to much tv

  • why do you speak so fast?

  • I just got a new desk from Ikea, it is sweet. It's a galant desk system(they have bunch of tops and two leg styles A and T legs). I went with a 63"x32" frosted glass top and adjustable T legs. 230 + tax. You really can't go wrong with Ikea.

Oh and it has room for my giant HAF 932 and 24" lcd, 5.1 speakers and keyboard/ mouse + pad

  • for a second i was thinking you where gana say 'and overal this is a 100% kick ass product' xD

  • @ Lupadii

    I was expecting that too.."Overall this is a 100% kick-ass product"

  • anyone tried using the floor for a pc set up?

  • i have a 6'x3' flat top desk with two 18" lcd's, my tower, a reciever, and a bunch of random gadgets and i have plenty of room for gaming.

  • Are you sponsored by NIKE?

  • He should be.

  • i dont know bout buying desks new now-a-days but a few years ago i brought a desk for about £50 and it served fine but i found a nice condition wardobe door at the scrappy for £10 and i removed my old desk top and replace it with the door , drilled a few holes for wires and presto an excellent 2.5 meter gaming desk for £60 plus it has lots of room for adding storage or even another computer

  • lol added note i believe building a desk is far better as you can get it exactly as you need and probably for a lot cheaper than you could from a store

  • every time you say 3dgameman i always think you say pretty gay man.. : P

  • LOOOOL!

    CRAP!

now every time im going to hear that x]

  • haha kinda sounds like that

  • hahahahaha!!!!!!

  • I think keyboard trays are great. Since I sit at my computer most of day, I sit in allot of different postures. The trays are great because no matter what posture I'm in the tray adjusts so there is no need to stretch, which becomes a helth problem over long periods of time. Constantly using one posture is just as bad as not using any posture. Be sure to get a deep tray for it to be effective.

  • OFFICE MAX VANGUARD DESK FTW

  • good advice.

  • lol wtf rodey... r u spying on me.

just today my bro is taking this amazing desk ive been using for 2 years now back to college. :/

now i gotta use a old ass kitchen table which will be extremely uncomfortable.

  • Lolzz...

  • I've got an L shape glass one with a keyboard tray. It's a nice desk but keyboard trays are no good for gaming. Can't get a nice big mouse mat, steering wheel or one of those belkin game pads.

  • I just us a standard wood desk with a roll out keyboard tray and a removable overhead shelf. It fits my 19" wide screen LCD and my 17" CRT just fine with some room to spare.

  • OMFG

you usedd to have a moustache and beard rodney????

    i didnt know that :P

  • im not

  • I thought he was gonna say

"and overall this is 100% KICKASS"

  • Fantastic common sense advice. Don't buy something just because it's labeled gaming _____. Odds are they named it that because it's not. Find something at a furniture store that suits you personally. Or even build your own custom desk!

  • very expensive!!!!

  • I use a chrome desk with a frosted glass top. Underside I spray painted an nvidia logo from a stencil with transparent uv green paint and fitted a bunch of uv cold cathodes. It needs a bit more work, but it's coming along nicely

  • nice topics. i can't wait to see more!

  • I have an L-shape desk which is great for me as I can rest me elbows on it when I play games (I lean forward)

  • IKEA is cheap as hell

  • Indeed

  • I use a dinning room table I got for free from a neighbour 6 or so years ago, best tables since they are so damn big and sturdy.

  • if you have a small surround sound setup, i think a U shaped desk like that would be better, but otherwise you're right rodney. IKEA is great, the desk i'm using right now is from them lol

  • i have a basic ikea desk that can hold 2 CRT monitors, but i have my gaming tower on it, 2 speakers and a LCD monitor. keyboard and mouse are on a roll out drawer. works great. i don't have the room in my bedroom for an L shape desk like i want. but this desk i paid just under 25 bucks and is worth every Pennie.

  • Ikea desks have excellent anti-vibration properties

  • I just a huge glass desk, nothing fancy. It's basically a 3/8" thick glass that's pretty damn large. Does the job just fine.

  • same here glass desk, which I painted back from behind and painted its foot red.

It looks so cool with my storm sniper

  • I have an Ikea desk! It's huge and it was only 80 bucks.

  • I have a U shaped desk. Its really an L desk in a corner with another desk jutting out into the center of the room just enough for my monitor, speakers, etc. (and room to spare!). what's really nice is that the back of the monitor faces the door so I can see people as they enter, still work on whatever I'm doing, and not let them see what I'm doing! hehehehe...

  • like watching porno? lol

  • lol at 1:25 i thought he was going to say "And overall... it's a 100% kickass product!!" lol. My Desk is from office depot, with a glass top :) works ok for me. But IKEA does have some nice ones...

  • and overall it's 100% very well-made

  • Rodney Has an answer to everything!

  • I use a 80 year old square redwood desk and it works great. Don't need to buy office depot/max crapboard that breaks after i stretch my legs.

  • I would also recommend a good L-shaped desk they work the best.

  • you can blow people under the desk

  • @wowlover37 pornos taught u a lot

  • i agree! would you say the Ikea desk is a 100% kickass product? :D

  • ikea IS 100% kickass

  • cool, thanks rodney

    have a wonderful dayy

    =)

  • first time iv realized the marriage ring :-)

  • Yeah fuck buy a volvo and a ikea desk :) i got a ikea desk it's great and cheap.

  • Not too sure about Ikea, I've heard within recent years that their products have been reduced in quality. Also, never buy a glass desk. They suck D:

  • Yeah, flatpack pc desks are the best ones.

  • I was too waiting for A kickass product :D

  • what is the name of that desk ??

  • Looks like he's using the Ikea Galant. I've got one and they're wonderful. They're modular, so you can make them any shape/dimensions you'd like.

  • ikea ftw!

  • I was hoping he'd say "overall.. this is a .. KICK ASS PRODUCT" LOL

  • For some reason I can't post anything in the forums or keep logged in, did you disable my account for some odd reason?I can log in & it says

"Thank you for logging in, Madjimms.Click here if your browser does not automatically redirect you."

But I don't see myself as logged in at all, & I cannot post replies.

  • I agree with you. L Shaped desk are great. Along with being very stable as well (If your into intense racing sims with wheel :) )

  • I have the same desk as Rodney!

  • grymt :) ja det är det ändå, men kvalitén är inte alltid den bästa, det var det som var min poäng hehe

  • i dont like ikea

  • staples has cool build it yourself desks

  • you should have said "overall its a kickass product"

  • haha that would have been funny "this desk is a 100% kickass product"

    good tip though ty :)

  • It almost sounded like was going to!

  • Get one without a cabinet to fit your monitor, i find that with my desk from Ikea the spot where the monitor goes into between the cabinets on top it limits my monitor size to around a 22 inch, which is what i have now so i ever wanted to upgrade to a 24 or bigger id have to either buy a new desk or remove the cabinets.

  • Ikea, you know the swedish make great stuff

  • For sure, Ikea furniture is made in China :D

  • yeah IKEA rocks! I bought 2 whites tables and that's perfect for my 2 PC'S

  • u know the sweeds make good stuff

  • yea the excel at producing big boobed bloonds

  • I'm "Swedish" and trust me, Ikea is not exactly known for it's quality. But it works.

  • A gaming desk? xD Thanks for this great info.

  • i got an ikea desk and over time the entire top panel has bended due to heavy use which has resulted in it being very weak and soon to be unusable. just something u guys shud know

  • that ikea is shit? for sure, we know that :)

  • well ye but ya know :P SOME people may not have experience the ordeal of ikea charm then gradual disatisfaction :D

  • haha yeah :) So lets tell them about the matchstick quality wood you'll be getting, along with the headaches of assembling poor quality parts for hours. Ikea is mandarin for cheep shit

  • 100% kickass gaming desk.. doesn't exist and will never exist.. Just do like Rodney and buy an IKEA desk.

  • Gaming desks :D hahaha tht's so lame

  • yes very lame

  • huh never heard of a gaming desk

    and lol ikea :)

my desk is a huge piece of wood high quality to take heavy stuff like crt monitors

  • Lets be honest, if your looking for a 'gaming desk' you really are pushing your luck xD

  • haha, i went and watched that old video review, you had a beard.

  • lol

  • Geez, I've been looking for a new desk to take to college for my computer/studies. I'm having one hell of a time finding one I like and for the price I like. I love my L desk i got from Wal-mart but It's very much a pain to disassemble for moving.

To those who are looking for desks I highly suggest looking for one that comes apart in easy to move sections.

  • I have a normal glass office L shape desk and its fine I mean really what is the point in a I quote gaming desk, I would rather a good gaming computer than a good gaming desk

  • i 2nd that

  • Yay sweden ftw

  • I heard that :)

  • would would a gaming desktop have?

just a box for the case and maybe some useless cable management

  • you dont realy need a Computer desk , you just need a ordinary Desk ...

    Good Anwser Rodney ,

  • I use two filing cabinets and a nice big slab of wood works fine if you're strapped for cash =P

  • hehe ikea ftw! I find it ridiculous that there's actually a gaming desk. What's next? A gaming desk with optional work desk?

  • Haha I have a strange mental image of Rodney video reviewing furniture.

  • IKEA! my desk is from ikea its the jonas desk epic most 5/5

  • i have some office desk, but great quality (hell a heavy :D) and large so i can put generally everything i need on it. was fed up with those thingys only fitting a screen and a seperate part for the keybaord.

  • Agreed, that's what I use. It's a 6 foot by 3 foot office desk and it's great for gaming. I hate those desks that don't give you enough places to put your monitors, and I don't like keyboard trays for gaming. A folding table is better than a regular "computer desk", IMO.

  • lol i haven't gone to ikea in ages

  • Nice video, Rodney! (I'm the first to rate it & comment it so 5/5)

Could you please link the review of that gaming desk?

    Thanks.

  • Awesome
