  • thank you for the video, I am buying a used Samsung HLP506WX/XAA 50 inch. according to the owner he said that the (TV has perfect picture and cosmetic condition but has started to buzz upon start up). the owner said it needs a color wheel. Before I buy it do you think Is a good model and replacing the color wheel you think will fix the problem?. thanks a lot.

  • @usrock1 Mine made a high-pitched noise, like a hard drive starting to fail. Make sure to check the version you find online matches your particular Samsung DLP model; there are several.

Search for "Samsung DLP color wheel" on Amazon.com. I bought my last one from them.

  • Thanks for the video. Just got one of these huge tv's for $100. A crazy deal I know. It works well now but I'm sure I'll wanna replace the color wheel and clean out the insides.

  • Yeah i just got the TV i like it but i do miss some of the features Direct. But i love the content on Uverse. By the way Thank you i got the nerve to take my TV apart today and mine was way easier thank yours, best part i got the part for 45.00 not the 450.00 repair people wanted so Thank you 400.00 times

  • just one question what do you think of the U-verse

  • @pschluth You mean U-Verse TV?

The content is ok, but I don't like the DVR (previously had Dish DVR). For example, the Dish DVR allowed you to automatically change to a channel at a future time; the ATT U-Verse DVR can't. Also, things like closed captioning and other options take some menu traversal to reach, the Dish DVR was simpler.

That having been said, I get more content for the money with ATT U-Verse.

  • Hey thanks for the feedback. I initially only setup the camera because there were some tough connectors, in case I needed to look back. Then later, thinking about how if I wanted to post in on Vimeo, I'd have to cut it down to 5 minutes, which about matches the size for Vimeo at 1Gig. Having done timelapse before ("Clouds") it hit me to speed it up 10x, which would be perfect.

The extra hands were my wife, who stepped in swearing she could show me how things are done. :-)

    Thanks again. :-)

  • Damn, you move fast, And you grew a couple extra hands.. are a god..or a demon??

Nah good vid man, I esp liked the fact that u vaccumed out some things, most ppl over look that. I ripped mine apart 2 days ago and cleaned all the boards and chips carfully with a vaccum. And now I know ( thanks to you) how to if I ever need to replace the wheel.. good luck man.. and thanks
