Whoever said Quonset Huts are a thing of the past? SBA recently announced its Export Video Contest and SteelMaster Buildings was named the one of the five finalists representing the Agribusiness category. Help us win first place by voting for our video on YouTube.
what all is involved in "excavation"? I presume getting the land and spot ready.. I just dont understand what that would entail that would cost that much, if you were on a relatively level lot. Thx...
The sections sure appear more flimsy than what I thought they be, when they are being raised up. I see you have to use several ropes to help control. I had read before that one or two persons could raise and and bolt together one of these buildings but that would look like it be a problem without a crew. What guage of thickness is the sheet metal? I would guess it be unadvisable to assemble while a brisk wind is blowing.
The pad was level, so the the steel forms the arches are bolted into were level. This type of building is so very easy to put up, especially when the foundation has been done correctly.
you tube is for broadcasting individuals, not for commercials. if you start doing that, youtube will become a pay site. so knock it off. don't abuse it.
@crabtrap so i'm not allowed to comment on what i see on youtube? this is twice you've commented on what i say. what's your problem. you are controlling and hostle. get some help with that.
Great video! I just wanted to let you know, every building we sell will come standard with a grade 8.2 bolt. If it has clips it is someone else's building. A grade 8.2 comes standard with our building. If anyone has any questions ask away I would be more than happy to help anyone! -Kevin w/ SteelMaster Buildings
All of the above. Basically, I'm wondering how much cash it would cost for total materials. Because I could probably get a dozen of my friends to help for beer.
How can you have 0 bolts? Something must hold it together. I'm getting ready to get a 60x60 S model but the salesman said the arches have to be left in half and lifted one side at a time.
Hi, There are about 1800 nuts & bolts. You get a dvd with your order that is helpful - I had new neighbors and a couple of friends help us, it took about 11 hours to assemble and raise the arches. Several more additional hours of tightening bolts. Everyone thanked me for including them in the barn raising, they had a great time. These are great buildings!
After the barn's first winter and spring I can report it is sound. There is no leaking anywhere and the building has stood up to gale winds, very heavy snowfalls and torrential rains. There are about 1800 nuts & bolts. Thanks for your comment on the clip!

Clip as in a video clip, not as in a metal piece that holds things together.

How much did the materials cost?
lestat02882 3 years ago
Are you asking about the cost of arches? Or about the foundation or the ends I built with wood (which is not shown in the video)?
