This should play in Portal 3 when you finally enter the cake room, with all sorts of robots and platforms congratulating you for helping GLaDOS with the last few experiments.
Sir considering that all your videos are just beautiful and you seem to upload new ones on a more or less regular basis it seems you have earned yourself yet another sub. Dont spend it all at once.
I can see this being used of the opening credits of a portal movie as the camera follows a lady in a business suite through the corridors and labs of Aperture Science. She passes through various busy environments passing by test subjects and people observing them.
Eventually we see her pass into the Aperture Science Lobby and she walks past the Bring your daughter to work day entries and slowly walks up to a little girl with a name badge on which says Hi my name is Chell. :D
@talon2000uk oh...mah..gawd... you are amazing! this movie must be made. there has to be a videogame movie made that doesnt suck. this is the best shot.
Honestly GLaDOS. I understand you're critical of a lot of things....but did you really have to dislike this? Do you want to go through that potato incident again?
I have no witty comments...but thank you...thank you so much for this! This is beutiful. I wish I had more to say, but I really don't. Just...thank you.
Mr. Blake, you are a master orchestrator, and you're only getting better with each new arrangement. Your sounds are so close to the real thing that, sometimes, it gets hard to tell the difference. I eagerly await the day you produce an extended piece of orchestral music.
I really love this song, and this arrangement blows my mind, but what I really love is the annotations explaining the subtleties of the piece. It's the kind of thing I would never pick up if I just listened to it without reading them, but it actually enhances it, looking at the effort that went in. Excellent.
@dummeh im going to make a portal video of 3 minutes before glados was activated. and how the lab goes insane, and you gave me permission before so ill just add you in the credits and link to you.
hello I'm just wondering what you think the most useful library to purchase for creating orchestral music like is? By this I mean largest range of instruments that sound good. Thanks
@letsallJACKoff I can definitely recommend Spitfire Albion (though I am biased as I was on the development team). Albion has the Percussion, Wood, Brass and String sections played tutti. Other good libraries would be Project Sam's Orchestral Essentials which is a bit like a watered-down, budget-friend Symphobia I/II, or there is Symphobia I/II if you want to splash out a little. Check out the video description for a full list of libraries I used.
I can tell if a peice of music, modern music, is American by the prominance given to the french horn. It's become a little game, i'm very seldom wrong. Mostly TV and Film scores from America have a soaring french horn in there, it wouldn't sound American without it. The instrument should be re-named the american horn.
@leffehoegaarden I would have to say this rendition of the piece is British. I orchestrated and composed the horn counter melodies and was responsible for the orchestral instrumentation - the original is contemporary rock/folk/etc instruments. I agree the horn is very bold and boisterous and can give an American feel but I do know quite a few European composers that use it quite a bit.
If only you could print out the sheets for a real orchestra - this is the kind of thing I want to be hearing at the next Video Games Live concert. :D
See, it's funny cuz I'm not. It was an Ande's Mint Cake I got from the Schwan's man who goes by my area selling food in a big yellow truck with a swan in it.
@qwertyuiop246603 Yeah, that's not how it works. It only stops counting around 300, buddy. Check back next time, and try and come up with something original, not a copy. It's really getting old.
@tiduswalker Idk for you REAR man but, i made that roses are red stuff up im not the one that copied it, it even says it on google if you just go search it up -_-
@qwertyuiop246603 Really? And could you tell me exactly what to type into Google that will show me proof that you came up with it? While I'm at it, I doubt you came up with it, because the number was wrong. I wasn't viewer 108, nobody but you was. Also, work on your spelling and grammar.
