  • im a new subscriber

  • yo this waz really good u help me out . i making beats my self . but im trying to get my name out their .

  • to anwser the title ... not realy :D

  • Good info, thanks.

  • I ran into your vid on a how to.. music producer website. That was really informative dude. I'm an aspiring artist, and want to pursue a LIFE in beat-making/producing. I've got a few minor obstacles to deal with but hearing your video was really enlightening.

The realest thing u said though: school can't teach you experience (as a music producer).

That was the holy truth right there lol. Anyways, the advice: great. I'mma continue to strive for my dreams.

    Thanks for the upload.

  • good words, thanks

  • nyu does its called clive davis school of music

  • don't waste your time (and money) attending any specialized school just for wanting to know "beat making" because the staff will laugh their ass off.

I can't believe so many people actually think that way.

And having a diploma in a 100% street-smart dominated industry won't do much at all.

It's all about your skills/connections, and most of all your personality.

  • yeah trauma frrom AZ

  • Help me please cuz I don't want to choose a wrong program that is not gonna help me on becoming Music Producer. I wish to talk with you my facebook is Kimberley Morales Roca and my e-mail is kimx100pre_chicasexy@hotmail.com.I really need to talk with someone like you that know about this field.

  • I want to become Music Producer.I'm looking for a good college or university that really teach me the skills to become a good music p.My plan is to go to Full sail university .They have recording arts program but I don't know if this program is gonna help me.Miami university have another program that offer audio production. My question is which program do you think is gonna help me more? and Do you know about college or university that have a good Music production program .

  • Informative vidclip.

  • Here's some good advice: Call yourself an "aspiring music producer" for a couple of years before labeling yourself as a producer. People tend to take you more seriously if you have experience, and people that have been doing it for a while will actually be more apt to help you out, rather than just seeing you as someone with an entitlement problem.

  • good points homie..

    nice intro beat..

by the way i didnt go tono music school, and I KICK ASS... also known AS THE SPESHALISS (out of all specialists!!!)

    and I WILL kill people!

that being said, fumbz up, great video.. now do hear my beats

  • Thanks for the great info. I started FL Studio last year and almost immediately realized i needed to quit playing with FL Studio and I've spent the last year learning music theory and learned how to play the keyboard and chord progressions. So i've made my first song on the keyboard and getting ready to put it into FL now. Looking forward to learning from your other videos, THANKS !!!

  • reason 5 flstudio are great rewire clients they work great together

  • Great video!!! I completely agree!!! Hopefully I'll finish my first EP in the next couple months. I have some classroom experience with music theory but when it comes down to it, I've learned most of the technical aspect off the internet (I use FLstudio). The creative aspect of my music I try to emulate my favorite producers. EVERYONE! This guy is right! School may help some but overall, its about how much work you put into your sound and what you want your sound to be like!!!

  • where do you live?

  • I wanna become a producer and I'm about to attend a college to learn Music Technology, but beside piano, do I have to take "Digital Sound Engineering" or "Electronic MIDI/Music Production" ??? plz help i'm about to take a huge step of my life

  • @bibibibibib0y

id suggest if you want a far more professional perspective of making music, it willl benefit you in quality, mixing, mastering and all that fine jazz. next semester i plan on doing digital sound engineering myself, im having problems properly masteriing :(

  • thanks for the 411 have you ever worked with frooty loops 9?

  • @408caliswagg

I have yet to get into FL studio yet...

But I hear some nice things coming

    from that program!

  • @408caliswagg yeah he really breaks it down like foreal.... Cool points

  • Hello. I attend college and majoring in chemestry but I love music so much that I wanna minor in it. How can I do music with college do you know any good schools in L.A. I'm attending Cal State L.A.

  • @pittsburghprince412

That is a good question fam.

I have heard of recording schools but

none specifically for beat making tho...

  • Man...your always looking out for people....we appreciate it bro. Much respect from New Zealand.

  • i agree wit this, and i wanted to know, that, is giving some beats free as a beginner good to get ur name out there ?

  • agreed school doesnt really help you accept for maybe learning how to work equipment but not even alot of classes teach that im only going to a community college and im taking Music Technology in the beginning i was feeling it because we were using keyboards and software and now we are getting kind of off the path thats motivating me. what would you recommend for starting Music Producers and Dj's.

    GOOD VIDEO by the way

  • Thanks for being "Real". I've been an Artist for a minute but don't have a producer to work with, so I thought about going to school for it. Thank you for saving me the money and the time. I'll keep watching your videos. It's the best video I have come across for this topic. I really don't want to sell right now. I want to be able to get something for myself for my album. Thanks again, you're deep and thats what I needed to hear.

  • learn from someone dont teach yourself. youll never make it NEVER!

yes u might learn it or figure it out, but if you have a mentor or teacher youll probably learn a years worth in 1 month

  • @loplips Mate, so many producers who have "made it" are self taught.

  • @rizzy89 yea thats why i said you might learn it or figure it out, but it would obviously be better if you had a mentor or someone teaching you.

  • Im 17 and music has always been a huge passion of mine and i need some advice about trying to become a producer so a p.m. would be great if your willing to spread some more wisdom, thanks

  • Thanks man, I really appreciate what your telling us here. I've been producing for about 3 months now, and I only have 1 beat thats worth a damn haha.

  • THANKS FOR ALL THE WISDOM, AND INSIGHT YOU ARE SHARING...

  • Reppin AZ!, keep on dropin them kits Traumah

  • is there any beat making software that you recommend? i am having trouble finding a decent program to create music with

  • 100% truth

  • HitMe Up Kid. Im Reachin out 2 you because of everything you touch on in the video. You Know Why Im Hittin you Up. Look me up on Facebook- Justin Fiocca

  • Great Vid fam! Every track i make has a like a movie to it. Its like I see the image or create a film scene in my head and I create from that vantage point and I have created some really amazing tracks. Sometimes I surprise myself.

  • Gettin' a mentor is #RealTalk, mine is teachin me way more than my school is...

  • Strait knowledge in here. The 11 months of schooling or however long, you'll pick out a few very specific things that pertain to hip-hop & further your production. Might not be worth the time you spend. And that's a lot of time you could be doing hands on shit you feel? I was trying to get feedback on a track, this cat told me to go to school for music theory. Not all of us are so blessed. We aren't all middle class you know? Trying to sell beats online to get out of this hood. Much love
