  • Heard a cat at 1:35~ Anyways, distinctive combination of cha. I'll have to give it a try someday!

  • Nice video! I usually have Sencha for my daily tea, but today I feel like having Genmaicha with matcha (^-^)

  • This is wonderful. I have never had any tea that has been made this way except in a Japanese restaurant and I don't even know exactly how theirs was made. Oh how I'd love to sit down with you and talk over tea...lovely!!!

  • @PaintedRavensong We're only separated by a state line or two IIRC. We should be able to arrange it at some point. :)

  • I drink matcha iri gemaicha a lot because you can get it at good quality for a low price (lower priced sencha and bancha usually taste like crap). it's also nice because you can steep it up 3 or 4 times if you do it right (I drink a distasteful amount of tea, so this helps a lot being a high school student with a minimum wage job lolz)

  • Personally I tend to not brew genmaicha or mugicha in my kyusu because it is unglazed and I do not want any roasted flavor transfer.

  • I'm with ya on that one. The kyusu I used in this video is unglazed and used for a wide range of teas. But I wouldn't taint one of my unglazed pots with strange flavors.
