The reason they aimed hubble at that specific spot is because it looked empty, it had over 1,000 galaxies there, just far away. You cant fit over 1 million earths into the sun, and the biggest star on record, VY Canis Majoris, you can fit over 4 MILLION suns into VY Canis Majoris. But yet we our minds are not blown as it doesn't feel real, until we see.

@Missgemini2010 haha, well a gallaxy is a system in wich various solar systems (meaning a cluster of planets that orb around eatchother and the sun) are connected. It's sorta like a circle, and all these thousands of solar systems (and other masses) orb around its center in wich there is, among other things a black hole. Hope I helped, but you should deffinetly go to wikipedia to get a better explanation :)

@Missgemini2010 A galaxy is basically a cluster of stars. Usually consisting of a few hundred billion. Of course, there are a few that contain a whole lot more, and also smaller ones that are comprised by only a few million.
Now, giant clouds of gas, dust and other materials, is where stars are born, and they are refered to as nebulae, or nebulas.

I keep thinking of the planets that may be orbiting Arcturus, if they are the same size as we are to our sun, relatively speaking. The creatures on those planets would be scary huge. They would not even fit on our planet!!!
