This is why I love staying in Scotland <3. I live on the West Coast way up in the highlands in a small village called Lochinver. Me and my friends love it here and want to spend the rest of our lives just running wild in the hills. We have jobs taking care of the animals domestic and wild here and its amazing. I never want to leave and I never will :)

Ugh! Caledonia is one of my all time favorite songs, this rendition of it I have to say is horrible. Ruined by oversaturation and overtly dramatic poise. The term less is more applies here. It's a folk song not an opera.

Whats with this independance talk. I only voted SNP, as i wanted a stronger vote for scottish matters in westminster, but the finances seriously dont stack up for us as our own country. As it is we currently get billions more than any oil reciepts from the union each year. On our own we'd need to pay for massive health/social welfare problems we currently have + as a lowly populated country over a large area thats a large infrastructure overhead to upkeep through taxes etc.

Beautiful images of a very beautiful little country. I live less than an hour from The Trossachs and love to take a drive there at any time of the year, but especially on a crisp autumn day because the wonderful warm hues of autumn are out in full force and the colours of the surrounding hills and forestry is simply stunning. If you drive up to David Marshall Lodge and then take a walk you get fantastic views down over the hills and over the Lake of Menteith.
