Not to be too critical but the shot ran really fast and the tamping ergonomics were way off. It's a video, I get it... A pretty shot, yes, but it would probably taste a bit thin and sour. Also, there is an economy of time when it comes to dosing espresso, e.g. Illy's rule that some 70-80% of Co2 is lost after the first 60-90 seconds after grind (something like that). I.e., For you folks at home - go quicker - less distribution kung fu.
Beautiful shot my friend..... i Like your method of dosing, albeit takes a bit of extra time i see no channeling, along with excellent crema... now all thats left is the taste.. ;)
i dont think the shot was too quick, what a lovely extraction! as for the bubble at the end, the Livia 90 has a 3-way valve that releases the water pressure instantly when the brew is stopped. This is likely the cause, intentional.
amazing

Would you like some espresso with your crema?

What do you have hooked up to your Mazzer Mini? It looked as if you had a sieve/filter of sorts to reduce clumping of the grounds.

A thing of beauty. And really how'd you film it...did you use and external monitor to keep in frame? Or many many shot (video and coffee?)
cmilquetoaste 3 years ago
that shot was a little quick, tighten the grind down a bit more probably.
That aside though, HOW THE HELL DID YOU FILM THIS?!? haha, its really hurting my brain. Was it done with like a helmet cam or something?
