@LuckyBambooExpert why would anyone support drinking? why would anyone support fast food? why buy anything? why not restrict all facets of life? its their choice! what if someone wanted to fine you for using youtube?
Honolulu gross liquor sales from late night bars; 2003 = $34.1 million 2004 = $34.8 million 2005 = $35.1 million 2006 = $36.4 million 2007 = $29.27 million post ban -20% RAW Number of stand-alone bars 2003 = 366 2004 = 357 2005 = 359 2006 = 349 ( ban in November ) 2007 = 329 ! A RECORD DECLINE! That's with some places letting people brake the law just to survive. :(
Former Italian Health Minister and outspoken anti-smoker Girolamo Sirchia was given a three year prison sentence yesterday for corruption and embezzlement. The man described as the architect of the Italian smoking ban and who will escape time in jail due to an amnesty by the current Italian government was instrumental in promoting the myths of the anti-smoking movement. He was convicted amongst other things of taking 'kick backs' from the pharmaceutical industry.
There are no HEALTH issues with Second Hand Smoke, the population that was brought up with the stuff are living way past their eighties. It's just a lie by the anti-tobacconists.
These smoking bans are fascist tactics from fascist governments. It's insane that private business owners are not allowed to determine if their own establishments should be smoking or non smoking. It's sick and I hope the French, in the birthplace of revolution, resist and overthrow this ban.
I've been to Paris a few times, and the thought of not being allowed to light up in their cafes is despicable.
I heard on the radio (Paul Harvey) that, on January 1st, the man in charge of the smoking ban in France was photographed at a casino...lighting one up, LOL!
The media is starting to get a clue that people aren't buying the usual drivel. Time to wake up and light up. ;-)
Why in the fuck would anyone want to support smoking?

Goodness me did someone say BBC news, well that makes a change, actually reporting the truth of the ban. Well good for them, not before time though!
8th August 2006 the HSE in their document OC 255/15 article9 state
" HSE cannot produce epidemiological evidence to link levels of exposure to second hand smoke to the raised risk of contacting specific diseases".
