Thank you so much, this is an easier way of doin them, I work at a ribbon outlet in Hagerstown, MD, I am also makin my own bouquets for my weddin, these are the roses I am plannin on usin, if you live close by, you should stop by and check us out, we are listed under.....Berwick Offray Ribbon Outlet
LOL, I love how in the beginning of the video, you are trying to pick up and look at a couple of the flowers and your Mom is clearly trying to get you to put them back and leave them alone! LOL!
Wow - I just wanna give your Mom and big squishy hug :o). She is so sweet :o) These roses are GORGEOUS and they seem very simple. I am definitely going to give these a try but I might have another opinion of how "simple: they are when I do them. LOL. Thank you so much for sharing.
Your tutorial is such an inspiration to me and I want to thank you for putting it on you tube for all of us to be able to make them. They are just beautiful as can be and you've made them so easy to understand. Very non-threatening, you know? LOL You're a sweetheart! Helen
may I ask what ya'll do with them? I see your momma had lots of them made...I was just curious what she did with them as a project....Thanks so much for sharing..they are beautiful..-Angie
That is really Beautiful and you make it look so easy, I'm sure it's not that easy without practice but just goes to show how good you are at making these roses! I Cannot Wait to try this!! I am making my Great Niece some headbands and I want to add some handmade roses so I've been looking for an easy tutorial. Thank you so much, I really think I can do this with some practice.
Love this If I God grants me a daughter I am sure to try these pretty ribbon roses for her hair accessories. Looks a little difficult to start with but as you say practice practice practice only makes perfect. Looking forward to having the opportunity to do these. =0) thank you!
@joinutica it's called Pellon. Jo ann's has different weights to it. My mom uses it a lot of times as a stiffener in skirts and patches. Usually it comes in huge bolts, but maybe you can find a smaller batch of it in the remnants pile, or ask someone there if it comes in smaller batches.
I have made these for years from florist ribbon, but I love these. I did make them once from satin ribbon and had to sew them. Glue guns were not the norm back then. they went on brides shoes and thank goodness the brides mother sewed them on those...You did very well showing how to do these...
Loved your Tutorial!! I purchased a huge basket of ribbon at a local thrift shop of all sizes and colors to use on my greeting cards. Now I have another use: I have a grandmother who loves pins and brooches. These would make beautiful pins! I'm thinking one for each season in a pretty little gift box for Christmas! Thanks again for the inspiration!!
I am soooo addicted to these roses!!!! I watched ur video in the weeeee hours this morning and since then I have made about 20 roses throughout today. Thank u sooo much!!!! ;-) ;-) ;-) -3-3-3-3-3
So very pretty. I love this tute. Your roses are gorgeous. I just hope that mine turn out half as nice as the ones that you have created. And, it was a treat to enjoy you and your daughter bringing this video to all of us. I plan on making these to go on headbands for my 2 yr old granddaughter. Thanks for sharing your technique.
