  • Ik behoor al voor de gemeentschap tot de Grijze plaag!

Maar je moet een Grijze muis zijn,

Om bij deze muziek niet uit je dak te gaan!!!!

  • I absolutely love this cover of Night time! John Fogerty feels his work. He was and is one of America's great songwriters and singers. His style is unique and joyful.

  • Dynamite !

  • does anybody here like 'pagan baby'? or is it just me?

  • @m1kewithaone I love anything by creedence, you ever listen to sweet hitchiker or molina?

  • @hotmn4u i don't remember molina, but i'm going to go check it out right after i listen to sweet htchiker, 'cause i know i like that one, but i forgot all about it. put a spell on you is my favorite i think, but heard it through the grapevine and about 15 others could be. i just wish i could have gone to see them with suzy agrusa back in 1968 when we were 14. i forgot if it was at the "cow palace" or filmore, but she said they cleared the chairs from the floor so everyone could dance!

  • my father listened this song when I was a child..thanks father for show me those amazing songs..without you I never had known creedence clearwater revival

  • @MsLarrymoe cool, and i had all there albums! i knew every word to all their songs. they were the hottest thing going when i lived up in the bay area, 1968, '69. it seems like they always had a #1 on the charts, and the radio station had scott st. james, who would have a train and a train whistle and he would say," the scott st. james express..... is SmoKin'!! and then go right into 'i put a spell on you" and although i was only 13, it would make me want to jump up and start breaking things!

  • @m1kewithaone great! I was crazy with CCR for a long time even I used to wear the same look of fogerty's hair also john fogerty was in my country recently and I didn't go to the concert...this was a great mistake

  • @MsLarrymoe i suspect you were a lot cuter than mr. fogerty.... ::)

  • Yes, it's lip-synced. John did all the vocals on their records. He is a wonder.

  • A rarity. A cover that surpasses the original

  • HOT!!!!

  • def. not lip synced his brother is singing one of the backgrounds

  • oh man, what a voice... so rock 'n' roll. awesome cover!

  • yep

  • Nothing much better than this.. But he is Lip-Singing this one for sure.. If you listen to the backup voices.. It's his voice in the background vocals, as usual for Credence records.. Never the less.... He got Soul in his bones for sure

  • John Forgety voice and music is just amazing!!!...he's a freak of nature with that special voice he got!!!...I'm just speechless!!!!!!!!!!

  • How cool would that be to sit front row to this show???...Fuck me.

  • man, if this doesn't kick you in the backside!

  • Fogerty's singing his ass off on this.

  • 3 people don't love their bed partner ...

  • There are only 2 or 3 people in the audience who are really getting into the song and rocking out (1:14 top left of the screen). Love his head bopping. That's what this song makes you do. The rest of the bunch are hardly moving. I don't know how they could sit there and not move. It's an impossibility.

  • @Msdistarr

You are right my friend. This is a perfect blues song to bounce your head,

  • I was there that night.

  • Man..this is so great..John's raw voice!

  • Creedence and Fogerty best ever :)

  • Love it !!!!

  • aaauuuhh yeah ROCK baby \m/

  • One of the best vocals ever. Fogerty had the best sound of all time at his prime.

  • Where are the bands that can belt out tunes like this nowadays?

  • this is pretty good...alot better than some of the other remixs i heard of this song

  • Three idiots didn´t like this. WTF..?

  • what year was this?

  • Love CCR! Thanks!

  • Creedence's got soul!! Fogarty makes a Richenbaker with a whammy smoke!

  • @5jonesville

Have to agree entirely with you bro. Sets that axe on fire. What a tone.

  • @5jonesville This is from the ABC show Music Scene which aired 12/1/69.

  • CLASSIC.

  • What a genius interpretation of Ray Charles' great song!

  • @Meggie64 This was originally recorded by Roosevelt Sykes in 1937.

  • Love that voice! Little of Ray Charles in there!

  • john fogerty has one of the best voices. it sounds just the same live as it does for the studio recordings!

  • Music is ROCKIIIIN!!! =]

  • What is about CCR, every time I listen to their music I find myself smiling:-)

Is John Fogarty the most under-rated musicial ever????

  • wow man,a love song with "mi feet in the swamp"

  • What are they singing in the background? Sounds like "Night and Day". Can't quite make it out.

  • @waynedanberry

According to Lyricsfreak they sing "wah-do-day". It's "night and day" in the Ray Charles version. Great song, hope Fogerty will play it again one day.

  • I LOVE JOHN!!!! FOREVER!!!

  • can't believe this great voice, i agree with you

  • what a voice of a white guy, never heard it from john fogerty always thought it was originally from ike and tina turner. thanks for this great clip, just love it

  • this is seriously it. i love the blues, country western, bluegrass, and folk. this is it all in one.

  • Whats the guitar that john play?

  • It's a Rickenbacker 360

    I think 325.

  • great tribute to Ray

  • I so agree with Hallvard69...Don't think they ever got enough credit....waaaaay better than Zep..

  • id say there just a bit better. but yea their better

  • Will never be a better band...

  • RIP TOM FOGERTY

  • John Fogerty and CCR Doing Ray Charles Right!!!

  • @mtyemti shit, ray charles can NOT sing the blues like john fogerty. fogerty number one.

  • @mtyemti jez, don't say moronic statements

  • @hotmn4u What do you mean moronic? I am a trained singer and Fogerty does a good job covering Ray Charles in his own style. A very respectful redo.

  • @mtyemti and ray charles play a Nappy Brown song

  • CCR ( John Fogerty) are the greatest.

    I love this music.

    They gives neveer better Band's

    :-)

  • this guy sure had a set of pipes, thanks, man

  • See 2009 Live by Request...look for it on john's web site...FANTASTIC!!!

  • GREAT...just unreachable !!!

  • the BEST!

  • fogarty had soul

  • just the best version....woww....

  • John Fogerty doing Ray Charles Justice

  • Wow is live, it's sounds great. Do you know what show it's from?

  • NOT live...no way. They're miming to the studio version, note for note. If nothing else, notice that the backing vocals are 100 percent John Fogarty. Stu Cook and Tom Fogarty never sang a note on a CCR recording (well, until Stu sang lead on his own songs on "Mardi Gras," anyway). It was all John.

  • This must be a wind up, right?

Tom Fogerty and Stu Cook provided backing vocals on the chorus of 'Proud Mary', 'Down On The Corner, 'Up Around The Bend', and 'Who'll Stop The Rain', 'The Midnight Special' and this song.

  • What's your source for this assertion? I have read that John Fogerty did ALL back-up vocals on all Creedence recordings. My ears certainly tell me that the back-ups on this and all the other ones you mentioned are Fogerty. If you have a source that definitively says otherwise, I'll retract my comment.

  • ** MIX Magazine: "After the rhythm tracks were completed by the full band, Fogerty would return to furnish his lead vocal and *all* overdubs — everything from *background vocals* to piano, tambourines, keyboards and percussion...The band would not be involved in background vocals overdubs, in fact, until Cosmo's Factory's Who'll Stop the Rain. ** Since all you mentioned except "Bend" predate this album (and it's not cited specifically), this casts doubt on your claim. I will research further!

  • Were "Down On The Corner" and "Fortunate Son" sung in the same session?

JOHN FOGERTY: "I think I sang 'Down on the Corner' first. *I did all the background parts and then the lead.* So by the time I got to 'Fortunate Son', my voice was a little suspect. I can hear it. It's not quite as powerful - it's a little flat all the way through." (in Rolling Stone)

  • If you listen to the live versions of 'Proud Mary' on the Johnny Cash show & Ed Sulivan show & live version of 'Down On The Corner' on the latter, the chorus sound identical to the album versions. This song is identical in backing vocals too and it is live, you can tell - it's just performed extremely well.

Tom Fogerty was a keen singer himself, he just never performed the lead vocals for CCR. It is logical that he and the bassist Stu Cook provided backing vocals for numerous tracks.

  • Also when you listen to the backing vocals for the tracks I've mentioned, you can notice distinct difference between them and Fogerty's lead vocals.

  • My ears tell me something different than yours do. But beyond that, there is independent evidence on several fronts (from someone present at the sessions) and from Fogerty himself, that he performed ALL vocals up to at least CCR's fifth album. I have read this from other sources beyond those quoted.

  • who the fuck gives a shit dude?

  • Wow. The intelligence, the forethought, the sheer effort it must have taken for you to compose this masterpiece of a response...my hat is off to you. You must be so proud!

  • great song

  • ESTUPENDO!!!!! I LOVE BABY!!!!!

  • Incredible!!!!

  • dope song

ray charles does it awesome 2!!!

  • well he wrote it brother!

  • look up roosevelt sykes 1937, I think he is the one that wrote it.

  • that is just amazing!!!!!!

  • Ouchhhh... this is such a thrill to hear John Forgarty's unique voice. Great blues tune from the oldies. Tks. for the share.

  • and that's live......wow!

  • freaking awesome!!!

  • I remember when they did this on tv. I thought it was great then and I still do. The neighbors told my folks that whenever they leave the house the music got loud. I said, "I have no idea why that is". They knew : )>

  • I I LOVE JOHN
