Maaaaan, the vocals suprised the fuck out of me, and it did in a good way! The instrumental parts kinda reminded my of A plea for purging, but still, I love this fucking shit!

This is actually VERY interesting indeed, it works much much better than I thought it would and I will be listening to this band more in future. It does help that I grew up during the whole nu-metal fad though...
i'd love to hear at least some screaming but these guys have songs like that as well. this is how rap style vocals should be incorporated into harder metal music. decently hard rhymes with some clean singing and stuff, mixed with huge djenty 8 strings. fuckin dope.
@aaron2414 I'm on my phone so I can't link the video to you but on the meshuggah lesson part 1 video, its a little over 8 minutes long, at about 7.40 on they explain it. Fredrik isn't the one saying it in this one but it is said
@aaron2414 Yes I did. Fredrik has stated in a couple different interviews that they do. They create that off beat feel for about 8 bars or so till it completes
@vXAlterAlibiXv Not trolling but you should simply say meshuggah style because as far as time signatures go, they mostly use the basic 4/4 beat. But this is definitely a unique band and one to watch for.
@codemister7 I dont consider it as trolling, I know they mostly use the same 4/4 beat, i kinda meant with like some of the guitar signatures stray from different beats.
This is a great blend of styles. You have the nuances of P.O.D vocals with the strong Meshuggah time signatures and djent playing. The combinations of distortion and clean help push the track forward and the singing at around 4 mins is absolute bliss. I really like this track.
this is pretty awesome.

@codemister7 I normally dont jump in but did you just claim that Meshuggah uses 4/4 for most of their time signature counts?
