Hej guys! I loved FF8 and now I have a problem...pls help

Is it possible to get saves from psx ff8 and transfer them to the psp ? I need saves before the last fight on the 2 disc...I had 4 characters with 100 levels..gf's with I can remember well but around 100 levels too. I played a lot of when I was younger but my 2 disc has crashed and I have never had a chance to end this game. PLS HELP What shoudl i do? I don;t want to play whole game again..100 hours are too many to repeat. ;-(

@SalaOdyn If you have a PS3, get a memory card adaptor, first. Then, transfer the save data into your PS3. Finally, connect your PSP to your PS3 in order to move your save data from the PS3 to your PSP.

@HazeHUDCITY Naa, what you want to do is connect your psp to your computer, then download a custom firmware update higher than your current firmware that you have. To check your current firmware go to the PSP menu then to the Settings tab, then scroll down to System settings then to system information, FINALLY check the number by the system software. You now want to download custom firmware higher than that number.

okay, got a few questions. keep all of this in mind: A) i have the PSP-3000 model, B) i have a MacBook, C) i do have the physical PSX games. so my questions are 1) will i be able to rip the games, and 2) i'm not smart about hacking, but will that mess up my PSP and/or void my warrantee? just wondering. i think it would be cool to have the games on my PSP but i'm not willing to screw things up over it, and i'm not loaded on money for repairs. thanks!

Ok i have a PSP with custom firmware GEN-D i believe and i already bought FFVIII on my PSN on PS3...since i use custom firmware on my PSP i cant use the playstation store on it...is there anyway to copy FFVIII from my PS3 to my CFW PSP? i know i use the usb cable but it would probably just ask me to update my psp or some crap...

well yeah it worked for me and make the disc-load to fast if it still freezes then just choose the a different popsloader make sure you get the popsloader for your firnware

what a convert you use? popstation gui is really good, I would convert with it, and when your game is a PAL, than you can fix it to NTSC..xD

if it freezes at the waltz scene that means you got a bad rip just go get a new disk image of the game from a different source or if you ripped it yourself then rip it at a slower speed

jus FYI for the non-hackers out there, if you get FFVIII from the PSN and put it on your PSP, i suggest you get the latest patch for your PSP so the game doesnt freeze

trust me, it was impossible for me to draw magic from bosses without it freezing

nice vid. have some questions though: did you try out the spell "Scan" on some monsters? did you try out some limit breaks?(mostly zell's and quistis'). all that without freezing?

i was fooling around with ff8 recently trying to get it to work 100% but couldn't. i found that it worked best on pops 3.80 but even then the game always froze when i tried to use quistis' limit on the green caterpillars near balamb(it worked without problems on the t-rexaurus though). any help is appreciated. thx ;)

@Atta333 To be honest the game has it's moments when it just randomly decides to freeze, my best experience has been on 3.71 (or 3.72 don't remember) and 4.01 pops, when I was playing it I'd play until it froze and I'd switch to the other pops and so on and so forth. It didn't freeze that often for me though so don't let what I said let you down.

If you can't stand the random freeze here and there I'd say just wait until Sony finally releases it on the PSN cause it'll work 100% guaranteed.

5.00 is NOT a good Popsloader. The same will happen with every Final Fantasy game. You need to download the Dark-Alex 5.00 popsloader and make sure you have all the right .prx files installed to play it. I'm running FF7 perfectly on my PSP using this popsloader. Also, be sure to choose firmware '3.51' when asked.

this seems complicated but its actually so easy to do all you realy need is a good custom firmware (5.00 M33) and an up to date popsloader then u can play any ps1 game u can get XD
