  • This scene taught me to love people regardless of who they are or what they look like. Love has no boundaries! Who agrees with me on that?

  • There is something so powerful, so beautiful and so moving about this scene! I think about it all the time since I first saw it a few weeks ago.

  • Absolutely... Fucking... Heartbreaking...

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE AND THIS SONG!

  • Ironic, but kind of cool, actually. I've never seen the show.

  • Yeah I found this to be such a touching scene! I watched it for the first time last night and can't stop thinking about it! Love and friendship know no boundaries! I used to have no reguard for Japanese animation or anime' but this has really changed my mind! I think it's the coolest! Have any of you seen Ki Ki's Delivery Service ( Kirsten Dusnt was Ki Ki) ? Or Princes Mononoke? ( Claire Dane's was the Wolf Girl) ?

  • The developers could've gone with something intentionally saddening and dramatic, but instead chose an otherwise optimistic song. It creates a powerful contrast, and in the end makes the scene so much more tragic. Normally I'd say that, in a scene such as this one, complete silence wold work best. This is a rare exception. I absolutely love this scene, it's my favorite in the entire movie, and one of my favorites in film in general. It's both light-hearted and morose; a great juxtaposition.

  • I cried. So hard.

  • One of the best scenes in any movie. When I first saw this movie I watched this part over and over.

  • I love this scene.

  • Epic scene.. I cried listening the song and see Kenichi trying help to Tima..

  • Truly one of the best scenes in Anime-- nay, film history! And not just because it has Ray Charles in it! (Though that certainly helps!) Gah! I need to watch this movie subbed! The English dubs are less than great!

  • TT~TT My favorite anime movie of all times. This is what got me loving anime more than I did when I saw it. R.I.P Tima, I'll always miss you!!

  • i sang along... i really and truly love this song.

  • I LOVE THIS SCENE

    Yes, I cried.

    I admit it.

  • This movie is very sad in the end , it made me cry T.T

  • this song scen is what everything is all about.

    I am I, I? <3<3

  • i don't lyk the japanese version cuz kenichi's voice has a deeper voice in it>_>

the english version is the best cuz his voice sounds younger :3

  • epic

  • classic, beautiful scene

  • I think this movie suggests excessive technology is dangerous.Anyway, this tale is very sad! I wish Tima had survived this collapse!

  • then again, the movie wouldnt be what it is if she didnt die

  • Oh, God, the tears poured out of me when I first saw this!! The song itself was heart-wrenching enough, but then they go and couple it with Kenichi losing Tima while the world around them crumbles????

Hell, I'm fighting the tears even now!

  • This is one of the more beautifull scenes i have seen in my life. I cry the first time i saw it, and still makes me feel very sad. The music is way too great. And Rock was Badass. XD

  • i came across this song last night on tv and burst out crying, i then laughed remembering where i first heard it... this movie is so beautifull, and the movie makes it so sad. i probably will never stop crying at this song.

  • excelente tema y excelente pelicula, una gran combinacion

  • tienes razon amigo

  • Hi, I'm Italian! I watched this toon twice on Italian channel, always at night: in Italy this kind of toon are always transmitted at night, but I don't understand the real reason.

  • I love this movie so much, this entire scene is just genius. The calm music juxtaposed with the total chaos of the scene is just amazing... I love it. T__T

    Thanks for the upload.

  • isn't there another version where they use another song "There'll never be good-bye"?

  • OMG, ive been looking for this for ages :D

    this is a bastard CHOONE!

    woop woop!

    xx

  • T_T AWW Man this is awesome I Cry and cry i don't know but this is beatiful =)

  • Holy crap, I haven't seen this movie in six years, and I don't even really remember what it was about-- this was the only part of the whole thing that stuck with me. It's really pretty, I remember watching it in my room, alone, with the lights off, and this song played (been my favorite song ever since), and I just sat there and stared at the TV screen with my mouth wide open. I kept rewinding the film to watch it again and again.

  • It's weird, the voices in the Japanese version sound like older versions of the English ones 0_0 This is a really memorable scene-I've only seen this movie once in its entirety but this scene stuck with me even if I forgot most of the rest of the movie. I like this scene in English as well just because obviously, I understand English so it's much different hearing Tima say "watashi dare?" in the place of "Who am I?" though it means the exact same thing ^^; Thanks for uploading the japanese scene

  • English dubbers seem to think that animated movies=children movies and thus the characters always have very childish voices.

  • ...I thought that was because the characters themselves were children?

  • Of course, but for me, there's a difference between a childish voice and a child's voice.

  • aw man,

    -tear.

    ;[

  • is this song's in the soundtrack? because i just saw the trailer 2 mins ago and at the end it was saying (in little) i can't stop loving you

  • Ray Charles- I can't stop loving you.

    Yep =].

  • I always cry when I c this! Man what a great movie!

  • Honestly, I cracked up the first time I watched this scene with the Ray Charles song. Mostly because of the explosion paired with this beautiful song--the world went to heck and Ray kept on singing...

I understand the significance now, but it was hilarious the first time.

  • A great movie. The song adds so much more to the scene.

  • that guy is fucking lucky. First in factory burn, then higest tower ever crushes, and hes at the roof and lives O.o

  • so sad :(

  • GJでしたb

  • "You will no touch Father!!"... That sentence is so magnificent! When I watched the movie, I simply loved this scene... in fact, I fell enraptured by it.

"Who am I?"... so sad... so heavenly. D.R.

  • Will NOT, sorry, hehehe. D.R.

  • yes, rock is fucking awesome. just got a lil bit looney about tima that's all

  • I saw this movie 1 month ago at Cinemax channel, and I really liked this movie, is awesome!!!

  • man, i respect this song so much...

  • Darn, the perfect combination of the song and this scene, just perfect.

  • This makes me cry every time i watch it

  • Same here. I've seen this movie so many times for years and it still manages to make me emotional.

  • lol me too and I'm not the type to cry to movies but this one got to me. Ray Charles "I cant stop loving you" was perfect for this movie and the setting of the movie too.

  • @watasee me too.

  • This song rocks

  • fate is so cruel =[

  • if there was a sequal or a series on this afterwards the girl would come back, she was, afterall, in the radio at the end

  • people in high stress situations do irrational things.. or so I'm told... by Hollywood...

  • Lol, guess so.

  • exactly what i was looking for. what i couldn't comprehend was, did he love her that much already for him them to use this song? thank you for uploading this.
