Why is Kilkenny not available in the States, but it is in Canada? I find these everywhere in Quebec. I would assume the USA would be a better market... Lots of Irish heritage, huge population, avid beer drinks and enthusiasts... Hm.
It's funny, my beer store carries 1100 beers from around the world but they don't have this beer. They don't have the Guinness Extra Foreign Stout either. :(
A nitrous can you can pour any way you want because the widget will produce the head automatically.
Never had this beer state-side. Pretty sure I had it in Europe, thought it was good. Not a big fan of Irish reds in general, though.
The double pour is actually more tradition then affectting the taste. They used to double pour because the first pour was older guinness, and the second pour was the newer stuff. I forget why they did it this way, but that's the reason. So you don't need to double pour, I know I don't. I mean I like it when they double pour on draught, but I'm already getting it in cans. And that's my long comment.
Love a good bit of head

Just for a bit more info, Kilkenny was originally made as a stronger version of Smithwick's, brewed primarily for export.
