@MH5tube again I highly doubt it. 32GB of RAM means nothing, the cpu and graphics power needed by 3 instances of crysis running "at the same time" would be too much even for some of the best CPU's and GPU's out now. And what you have "seen" means nothing either, I haven't therefore I don't believe.

No you can't they have to be in the same family.

For example you could crossfire a 4890 and a 4870. Or a 6870 and a 6890.

The fist two numbers of the model have to match like 48xx, or 68xx.

This game really comes to life on a computer like yours. I used to run Grid on my 8800 gt and my athlon x2 and it was splendid, but you have me outclassed. Just out of interest, what frame-rate do you get on your two 4890s? Cheers mate.

as long as they're the same model it should work.

Though if one is less powerful than the other, the more powerful one will be underclocked to amtch that of the lesser one.

Technically you can have a 4870X2 and plug a 4870 in crossfire, because they are the same model.

Umm atm i would say go with the new 5xxx series as you are future proffing urself for a few years (3-5) until Dx12 comes out.

But honestly, I would wait until the new nVidia cards are released then we can see what really has the grunt.

From what I coudl possible understand with what you just said let me help you out:

-No AMD boards support SLI

-790X boards are DDR3

-Get a 780G as they can support 2 video cards and I think they can do DDR2

Well you said that you wanted to upgrade so I thought you might want to keep your DDR2 RAM. The RAM on your video card being DDR3 doesn't even matter, as any video card works with any board (with the right slot).

go for a 5870 as these have real good performance, there about the same a as gtx 295 a little e bit worse but they are single gpu and the gtx 295 is dual so 2 of them will kick ass!!!

Actually WAW gets about a quarter the FPS of CoD4. it was made by a different developer, and while on the same engine, isn't coded nearly as well.

I have only had this for about 3-4 weeks but at the moment there don't seem to be any props, its is actually a good Mobo it won some wards and shit.

Its also got Japanese capacity )50,000 hrs +) and 2oz copper inlay or somthing like that.

Has dual bios so if u fuck one up u can reboot from the old and it automatifcally copies to the main bios.

Well I have v-sync on so, without fraps 60 (never drops) with fraps (not recording 60 (drops sometimes to 58 fps) with fraps recording about 56 -60 mainly 60 fps though.
