No one gives this a second thought if he doesn't hit "the star". Hence, the dirtiness of Moore's hit is largely circumstantial. With Bert's hit, it wouldn't matter who hits who, on ice or off, even with rightful vengeance in mind, you get charged. Naslund had at least a split second to brace up (frankly I think that made things worse for him) and at least it had context within the game. Bert's hit had so little to do with the gameplay, that the action cams MISSED it lol.

No one gives this a second thought if he doesn't hit "the star". Hence, the dirtiness of Moore's hit is largely circumstantial. With Bert's hit, it wouldn't matter who hits who, on ice or off, even with rightful vengeance in mind, you get charged. Naslund had at least a split second to brace up (frankly I think that made things worse for him) and at least it had context within the game. Not to mention this is in March, the tail end of the season in a VERY heated divisional race that unfortunately Vancouver wound up winning by a single point. Prior to that and at the time of the hit, however, the Avs had never failed to take the division since the move to Denver- 9 straight. And they come out and just get humiliated on their home ice because all they can think about is Steve fuckin Moore (who incidentally scored one of the 9 Av goals). All around fail, here.

However, I think knowing the tension there was, especially up 7-2, why would colorado coach put Moore out there? Obviously, canucks are frustrated at game plus what moore did to naslund weeks prior, you dont think something is gonna happen?
I blame both Bertuzzi and colorado coaching staff for this incident. Also, don't like Moore with the way he continues to conduct himself in court and off the ice.

What i have to say about Bertuzzi is that he is the lowest of the low. He is the most despicable player in the entire league. Moore has been going threw years of therapy because of that. Bertuzzi was suspended for one year? That in itself is BS. But on top of that the only year he was suspended for was the blackout? So in turn he wasnt punished at all... Bertuzzi makes me sick...

this is just a poor way to attack someone for hitting your star player. The hit on Naslund was a hit and just turned for the the worst. But this is just nasty. hitting from behind and smashing his face to the ground is way worse. Im not a fan of ethier team but this is just sickening. No one deserves this. AN EVEN SCORE, so Bertuzzi hit him, Bertuzzi didn't break his neck, take a look at how many guys fell on Bertuzzi and Moore right after the hit. You think it was Bertuzzi's punch or hit getting slammed into the ice?
