I was hit with Sabre red not more than a week ago. Yeah it's pretty bad, but not that bad...you made the bad move of touching your face. You do NOT touch your face, rubbing it in only makes it worse, use cold water and soap, no petroleum based products as this will cause it to seep into your pores...trust me, not a fun experience :D

you need to use either cold milk or cold water, some fresh air, and time.. dont rub it in your eyes like this dude, he made it worse for himself. also, you can use baby shampoo because it wont sting if you get the shampoo in your eyes.

noooooooo, never warm water! Cold water, clean it with soap, and keep your head under water and try to open and roll your eyes. That's the only way. Hot temperature make it worst. I've experience it too.

you never use warm water because it opens up your pores more and forces it deeper. Use cold water for a couple minutes and then just fresh air or a fan.

I sprayed myself in the face today with this stuff. I got it for my wife to use for self protection.

It's very painful.

I heard that those allowed to carry it have to use it on themselfs first.

Luckly it doesn't hurt after about an hour and leaves no marks or side effects.

I feel bad for anyone who gets hit with this.

I seen many police videos where they show how to get the pepper spray off more effectivly, you NEVER rub the water on your face, you put your face under a hose or running water and only let the water wash it off, it takes a while though. I think I would rather get tasered because the pepper spray can take an hour to go away with the pain.

Depends on what else is in the spray, some manufacturers add propelyne glycol which not only acts as anti-freeze (if you happend to be in a colder climate), but helps make the substance more water soluble. Using milk, while helpful when eating spicy food, not a good idea for the face, especially the eyes as infections can result real easy.

Milk is what you want to use for decon. There is a protein in milk that breaks down the capsascian in the OC spray.

Ok, well me being in law enforcement, I know what to do during a contamination of pepper spray. DO NOT RUB YOUR EYES AT ALL. If you rube your eyes it causes it to sink into your pores more and causes it to hurt even worse. Also, do not decontaminate with water, buy a pepper spray decontaminator such as, "COOL IT". This will stop the burn, if this is not available IMMEDIATELY call 9-1-1 to get an ambulance out there.

Never touch your face. Everything you touch after you touch your face is not contaminated with OC. When you rubbed your eyes you were just digging it further into your eyes. Never use the same bucket of water twice. The best thing to do is stick your entire head in water for a few sec and then stand by a fan. Keep your eyes open for as long as possible so that your eyes can flush it out on its own.
