I grew up in Brisbane in the 80's, even with Comm Games (before my time) and Expo, the city was in a slumber.

Bill Gunn brought about Tony Fitzgerald's inquiry which saw Wayne Goss push a fresh broom through the state. Soorley and Borbidge helped too. Unfortunately, we slip back to the pre-1989 days with Beattie & now Bligh being in power too long. It's Joh time all over again, on a different tangent.

The jingle "Stand Up (Turn to)" was written by Gari for WKYC-TV's news operation. WKYC's slogan was in fact, "Turn to 3".
