This guy doesn't have a clue at all what's he's doing! DO NOT follow ANYTHING in this video. NEVER EVER use a roughing gouge on a bowl. It is extremely dangerous how he used it to true it up. As the blank spins and contacts end grain and side grain a roughing gouge can actually break. I didn't even watch the whole video. When he grabbed a scrapper to hog it out I was done. My 7 year old can turn better than this clown.
