The Capture Value for that is then put through another equation to determine whether or not the Pokémon is to be captured

Catch = 1048560 / √(√(16711680 / CatchValue)) = (220 - 24) / √(√((224 - 216) / CatchValue))

Catch value differences from 2- 255 depending on what pokemon it is

My little habit was to press Up + B when throwing a Poké Ball, then switching to Down + A when it was trapped in the ball. Realistically, I knew that it probably didn't help, but at the same time I figured I lost nothing by doing it so I might as well keep on trying it :P
