I am quite impressed with the WebOS2. But I would like to see a few more things before I make a purchase decision.

1. No on screen keypad! this is a major drawback and i feel its a must!

2. The keypad / keys are too small and it would be great to have a bit bigger keys so heavy users like me can type easily.

Hope Palm will come out with a more "sexed up" hardware device soon!

It probably Won't connect to iTunes for long, Becuase They literally Trick Itunes into thinking it is an iPod. That is why you will have to change into media sync mode.

Apple Probably Won't like that, and Could easily stop it from occuring.

The touchstone charger is a great idea, but not worth the money. You still have to plug in the touchstone. I don't see the value in it.

With that being said, you are in denial if you do not think this phone is absolutely stunning in every way. You don't get it. Apple is a company that everyone want to buy something from. Nobody can make a design like the iPhone, nobody can compare the with another phone because it probably is one of the best phones ever made. The Pre and other phones like the Blackberry storm, all got the idea of a touch screen phone from the iphone. They all copied the app store, and they all have a similar interfaces. If it wasn't for the iPhone your precious Pre would have never existed.

Looks nice, very cleverly made - small qwerty keyboards a problem, but less of one than onscreen ones IMO. Nice looking OS, and seen a vid where a Palm OS emulator runs, so old apps can still be used.

The OS and UI is superior to the iPhones. The Pre can multitask and has already with simple pre-release units show to be much faster and less sluggish than the iPhone.

The Pre's hardware and software is beyond the iPhones. The Pre is built from the ground up to be able to multi-task.

The Pre will also have an app store and multitouch capabilities. Just too much to list at once. Google it and you'll see. Nothign but good reviews for this phone.

The hardware and software is only better for now, by summer apple are releasing a newer iphone and a newer software. Whether it will beat the Palm pre is just a matter of time.

the funny thing is the palm has alot going for it but apple trys to come out on top till the black berry curve came out and its not a touch screen phone yet it has sold more then the iphone and i think another thing going aginst the iphone is at&t cause it is always dropping calls and messing up for a service but if it went to verizon or sprint hell even t mobile i think it would do way better but with the palm pre on sprint it will really dent the iphone but only time wil tell can it kill it ?

Yes, but Apple didn't invent multi-touch. There's a lot of controversy because multi-touch had already been invented, which is a legal concept called prior art, and Apple basically just implemented multi-touch into their iPhone OS and grabbed a patent.

Palm and sprint have a deal that sprint will have the Pre for atleast until the end of the year. Meaning the only way ur gonna get it is switchin over to sprint or waiting unitl atleast 2010 and pray that they then launch with a GSM carrier.

The demo showed a lot more bugs this time than during CES, but they were doing more as well. Supposedly it was the same software build, just on the new GSM/UMTS hardware.

Hopefully they will resolve the bugs by launch date. Really interested in this phone because it's open with software and has multi touch. With a bit of luck it'll be sim free as well.
