  • does this mean no more visual recording?

  • Don't worry. I still have visuals. This is just to squeeze as much sound quality out of my Mic as possible. Also I have my eye on a pod casting kit that includes a very nice condenser mic. So I want to be ready for the kit by the time I rise the funds to get it.

  • lol you sound so professional but you use a box with foam in it, thats funny but great job!*if it works use it*

  • fans on my old laptop were pretty lowd, well before my laptop decided to die on me, anyway, they still interfered with my mic, when i got on mic with some friends they used to say it sounded like an air raid siren. Only way i could reduce the noise was to place the mic as far away from the laptop as possible.

  • I hate those cooling fans. Not as much as wind though, but that's a different story.

Might seem to be a dumb question, but how did you secure the foam? I presume it has to be pretty flat against the wall.

  • I cut the foam to exact size for a tight fit so friction alone holds the foam in place. No glues That frees me to reuse the foam in a more permanent solution of this project made of wood should this anechoic chamber work out to my liking.

  • cool thanks for the info ^^
