  • can i order 1

  • hmm looks nice compared to other homemade crossbows iv seen although looks prone to misfires

  • @trexmadman

    Please make a tutorial!

    Everyone is wanting one!

  • you gonna make a tutorial on how to make this?

  • It needs a stock

  • Сори, но мой отец сделал почти такое же чудо за 5 часов, или меньше(время изготовки стрел не в счет, сам строгал), только там и приклад был, и убойная сила была побольше. Щас советуюсь с папой и конструирую почти такой же.

  • And lordPS3? shut up. You're just trying to use the comment to brag, and you could be lying anyways/

    just saying... :P

  • just think of that milk bottle as someones head. Great job!

  • @dirtoffmyshoulder1 Thanks for the positive feedback.

  • CAN IT BRING DEATH?

  • @ChocoNillySkateKingz Yes, if you are that way inclined at close range.

  • @trexmadman ok :)

  • nice crossbow, but it didn't take 40 hrs to make. if it did, then that is because you are very slow. it took me 40 hours to build a wall for 2 15" subs in my prelude. this should take 5 at most. maybe 7 if there are a lot of troubleshooting issues.

  • @LordPS3 Yes it did, more probably. I lot of time spent figuring out where to place things, how to do the trigger mechanism etc.

  • @trexmadman then you are simply a very slow worker. i built a crossbow with a 10ft bow. i measured its range at 300yrds. it took me about an hour to design and build. crossbows are definitely not complex machines to build.

  • @LordPS3 There's always some smart alec who knows better!.. Or thinks they know better!

  • @acheface i do know better.

  • @LordPS3 Balls!

  • @acheface tits

  • @LordPS3 Fanny!

  • @acheface muffin

  • @LordPS3 Nipples!!

  • @acheface muff cabbage!

  • @LordPS3 Flange frotterer!

  • can you please tell me that how did you fit the aluminum profile on the crossbow?please answer!

  • @TheDeathknight23 The aluminum is flat and slides into the cavity I made for it then is glued down.

  • Sick c' bow!!!!!

  • @legomanxlr8 Thanks

  • from your experience, how good an arrow will fliy when shoo from a crossbow?

(arrow, not bolt, like a simple bow arrow)

  • @Doradanis1

An arrow requires too much energy for the crossbow to shoot at a decent speed and would have a very short trajectory.

  • @DDDDDDDuel lol i knew someone would say that sooner or later :P

  • when the zombie Apocalypse happens can i sleep over?

  • pretty sweet bow but the real question is "Will it Blend, that is the question"

  • @SomePROHunter

the only thing you cant blend is a crowbar XD i wanna bend tech 3000 so bad

  • Canadian Bacon is just ham tho

  • what is the thikness of a signular bamboo stick of yours

  • Super nice!! what is the song?

  • you need a stock

  • nice bow but i wouldnt wanna live on the other side of the fence

  • @gunzmith

Never had an arrow go elsewhere other than the target. I'm pretty careful.

  • amazing can u tell me how u made it

  • @zackfighter597

Its pretty obvious from the video

  • Is this an all wood design? I mean as far as the prod is concerned. I just carved out a prod from a regular wood and I wanna make sure using all wood is a viable option, since everyone elses design seems to involve either a slingshot string or a metal prod.

  • @IvonoftheGWF

The prod is 7 bamboo sticks ( green) bound as a circlular bunch then wrapped in cotton adhesive tape ( sports tape).

  • @trexmadman Interesting. And your firing mechinism, do you have to notch the arrow like a regular arrow when you dip the string into that recess somehow? I'm still trying to figure out how to make a cheap firing mechinism, and your method looks good.

  • nice crossbow

  • @Longden1983

    Thanks

  • Could that kill someone?

  • @JoaquinAndThePenguin

    At close range, yes.

  • are crossbows illegal???

  • @left4newbz

    Not in NZ

  • can it shoot explosive arrows?

  • @CharizardMustKill bLACK OPs

  • @621Money3

    Haha yeah

  • mhhhhh very nice and erm LARGE =) awesome nice vid =)

  • Where can you get the 5 strand braided synthetic leather from?

  • qe nitído una ballesta

  • That is boss, could you please send me a private message on how to make that please, because that looks really good :D

  • @pirosatan

    Thanks

  • cool

  • it is a horibal dizin

  • @18ausweav

    Thanks for your opinion.

  • @18ausweav Lets see yours then.

  • powerful!

  • everything else is easy to make but the mechanism is screwed

  • @234mat

The mechanism is simple, have another look.

  • Song name is

    Noisia - The Distance

  • does the power in a crossbow come from the bow? (/ the bending of the wood)

and surely if a crossbow is able to be reloaded without a cranequin your doing it wrong.

also, what is the string made out of? waxed linen?

or is it a more modern material?

    asking for totally legit purposes.

  • @jadenjak

Power is from the bow yes. I'm not doing it wrong as I'm not out to make a 300 pound draw crossbow just something I can handle myself. String is braided synthetic leather coated in beeswax.

  • yeah i just built a crossbow and it is awesome but if you could like make another video that would be awesome.

  • could you show a video of the materials and how to make it?

  • you are awesome.

and 6 guys were hid by this crossbow

  • yOU are awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Itachisnotblue

Haha, no I'm not but thanks.

  • @trexmadman you are awesome.

    Subject closed.

  • nice crossbow!!!!!!! you can kill people , with that

  • @danielhm100

If you were that way inclined you probably could.

  • I'm jelly

  • @ZooYorkVenom

    Nice

  • @trexmadman It means "I'm jealous"

Just so you know I wasn't being a douchebag or anything

  • @ZooYorkVenom

    All good :)

  • @trexmadman Okay lol :D

  • This is a deadly weapon...

  • @blockhead9899

It could be in the wrong hands

  • @trexmadman how did u attach the bamboo stick(the projectile) to the string of the bow ?

  • That's awesoms

  • @ConnorVEVO

    Thanks

  • can you show us how you built it plzzzzzzzzzzz

  • how'd you get the bolt to stick without falling?

  • @Ilovehossain

Spring steel arm presses down on bolts to hold them in place, check it in the vid.

  • great use of the bamboo sticks.

  • Cool bro.

  • @kennygtexas

    Cheers

  • awsome

  • @nikos45p ACOG is a 4x32 standard....it already has magnification. And it would be a magnified scope, not a "zoom sight".....

  • Can u kill some with that? I think u can!

  • @Warriormpw

Yes you could at close range.

  • @nikos45p Stop playing cod kiddo, you probably dont even know what an ACOG is..

  • hi man great crossbow like it 5* :)

  • best and only good video i've seen so far!

  • @1kingconan

Thanks, I try to do a good job of everything I do/make.

  • cool

  • @warriorxp111

    Thanks

  • woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow

  • @1441bullman

    Haha, yeah thanks.

  • i cant trust homemade crossbows imagine at 0:23 it snapped. and the wood would own u lol

  • @DeviouscarmaXbox

I made it strong,no worries about breakage.

  • it looked lik pvc pipe at first

  • HOW CAN I FIND BAMBOO STICKS!!!???damn i have all the other stuff

  • @NecroGargoth

Any garden centre or hardware store should have them.

  • @trexmadman tanks man

  • @NecroGargoth use wooden dowels they are sturdier

  • @iAmTheSurvivalist

Wooden dowels are weaker and brittle. I tried them early on. Bamboo will flex a lot more without breaking.

  • Any neighbors on the other side of that fence?

  • @CablloBlanco

At the time of filming the video,no.

  • wait so what do you use as the rope elastic thing?

  • @ComicManultimate

    Synthetic leather,its in the video...

  • I love New Zealand I wish I could move there =) Very crafty crossbow my friend and your bolts seem very effective I would like to see how they would manage on a rabbit or coyote

  • @iAmTheSurvivalist

    Thanks for the feedback.

  • @trexmadman try a peice of leaf-spring and post that shyt i would imagine it would probably be around 100 lbs

  • @iAmTheSurvivalist

If I had one I would but I'm pretty happy with it as it is.

  • @trexmadman have you tried arrows from the store???

  • @iAmTheSurvivalist No I haven't as I was trying to do it all DIY style but I'm sure it would shoot carbon bolts quite nicely.

  • how much did it cost to make this? and would there be a chance on a tutorial or would you be able to make more to sell?

  • @paralyzedefy

    About $25 NZ in materials.

  • 40 hours geez i made my in 10 idk about bamboo i know that oak is ok but i used the one that they sell and it broke

  • @OldSnakeKonovesis

Good things take time and mine is still going strong.

  • whats the bow bit made out of?

  • lol, i like the piggy target XD

  • @crunchey4

    Yeah, I like bacon too.

  • MINES BETTER

  • @SuperHappyRobertTime

    Good for you mate.

  • i was surprised how accurate it is but it would be much more powerful if you would reenforce the middle of your bow so it will bend much better over the whole length of the bow.

  • @Error383

    Thanks for the feedback

  • right on....I like the design but what did you do for your trigger?

  • It seems quite potent...^.^ this is a very well crafted n superior crossbow...i have nothing but good things 2 say n hope my homemade crossbow can be a striving success such as this...i'm having problems with my bow...i need something sturdy n flexible...do u have any suggestions...what would make 4 an ideal, potent cross bow bow?

  • @Flyjon7 I used 7 green bamboo sticks bound together in a circle shape ,1.2m long. You can try fibreglass rods,or carbon fibre rods if you have the money. Good luck and thanks for the comment.

  • myns better i might make a review of myns because everybody thinks there are the best!!!!

but i cant be bothered making a new bolt i lost me old 1

  • @funnyvidsfest Right, good for you then.

  • where do u get the bamboo?

  • @MrSimontoki

Hardware or Garden Store. Pick the green stuff, not brown.

  • ill pay u if u make me one!

  • @KGainey2011 LOL, not unless you are in NZ and can collect it.

  • Very nice man! Only I would make the frame a bit longer so you have a shoulder rest

But it works realy well i see so good job ;)

  • make a specific video but all that wuz awesome

  • how did u make the bow??

and what is a dowel rod and how did u put the bamboo sticks together??

  • @Titleification Check through the comments, everything is covered there. Dowel rod is wood in a rod form as is pictured in the video.

  • hey dude would steal rebar work? and if not tell me some materials that could be used for the bow and would bungee cord work great for the string

  • @chickenpoper I wouldn't use steel myself, too dangerous for a bow like this. Bungee cord would be useless. The tension comes from the bow,not the string. Use synthetic leather or buy a recurve crossbow string and use that.

  • @jasoboii123 I tied it on using a lasso knot on one side and a standard figure 8 knot on the other. Hope that helps.

  • Nice Crossbow... Hey, whats the name of the music you used for the video?

  • NEW ZEALANDDD!! :D

  • very cool!

  • You sir are the best crossbow maker ive seen on youtube lol, this is the best homemade crossbow!

  • What's the draw weight to this crossbow?

  • you are ready for zombie land

what kind of string did you use?

  • @reeding Synthetic Leather, 6 strands thick and braided.

  • bamboo sticks... useful idea..

  • Nice crafting medieval man!

Is that how little Bobby lost his eye?

  • 10+

  • love it i have maked a easy version of that with the bamboo sticks but i not realy use a trigger i only use a clothes pin but it is so hard to pull so someone know a better but easy way to make a trigger? I can make a video with it later and plz make a tutorial:)

  • How you get the bolt to hold on place?

  • @gurskymanisgay

Cheers, theres one thing about me. When I do things, I do them well. No half arse baby crossbows here mate :)

  • Comment removed

  • What do you use for the bendable part in the front? I've tried to make one but it brok it sucked. Please respond to my username and tell me what you used. THANKS!!!!!!

  • dude, he used 7 3.2 meter bamboo sticks.

  • Nice bow, good tune

  • cool,creative!

  • That is sick! ( bit looks like a aeroplane ) but still sick!

  • All looks great but is there a chance of having a closeup of hoe the trigger works or can you break it down so we can see how it is made....well done
