Too bad the game is nothing like this.

One team goes to camp and waits...and then you have to root them out and then you camp and wait.

Full of bugs, full of hackers, matchmaking is a disaster, car driving is horrific ( if you have experienced GTA4 anyway ), guns are totally imbalanced, objectives make no sense and are placed idiotically. It's a glorified 3rd person counter-strike with cars that explode from 5 bullets.

I never saw an elf during the event but seeing the footage here I have to say I loved it; even if i didn't get to be a part of it.

Glad to see after that omocha hacker shit you guys can still come together and fuck around with the community for fun. To me the game is all about fun and this event really shows how much fun the community can have together. (With some help from a elf)

@xBoneXBBoy They went bankrupt dude. One of the reasons was massive lag, and technical issues. Yeah you cant run SWTOR right now, but they are sure as hell working on it + its a newer game! APB is soon 2 years old, but it still have the same issues like it had in beta. And wtf are tyou talking about? If it's meant to be a AAA title its beyond me they didnt make the game compaitble for the general public. Also, SWTOR works with a 4 year old lappy. -_-

The elves are wearing "Devlar" that gives them insane powers. However the "Car Surfer" mod is coming to the game soon, which allows any player to ride a vehicle.

@ReIoadedProductions I would be completely ok with G1 allowing LMG users to hang out the side of the van and shoot.. or better yet have a mount in the bed of a truck that removes all cargo space from said vehicle and you have a mounted LMG that takes the same amount of time to bail out of as you would need to bail out of a car while hanging out of a window.

You definitely need to update your computer. APB:R was never intended to be a free game. As soon as it became free a huge amount of people with low spec machines installed it, expecting it to run like counter strike with cars. As you can see from this vid, we had no issues on our higher spec machines, running into fights with 40+ people while recording with fraps.

Lots of people asking specs. Actually changed GFX cards and RAM half way through the recording of this....note it worked just lovely on the old spec, the upgrade was mostly for minesweeper.

Windows 7 64bit (So so so important)

i7950 @ 3.0

6gb DDR3 then upgraded to 8gb of free ram...shhh

GTX295 then upgraded to a GTX580 3gb version

and just a SATA drive.

You could probably get my old spec for about £300 these days.

@ReIoadedProductions The biggest reason is that apb has VERY POOR OPTIMIZATION! During RTW time, my 32 bit system never crashed or had memory leaks. Now it does. I had to do that 32 bit fix where more memory is alloted to this game. Seriously, this game needs optimization. Also, take a look at the shader restoration project. Looks much better than what g1 has done. Its in the Social board with the name " RTW Shader Restoration Project"
