i feel bad for you and the people who have the ylod me i got my ps3 slim 320GB on December 12 aka my Bday and i updated to firewire 3.50 i guess i forgot so no ylod :)

Same problem here. Sony customer support does not care btw. They won't admit it is their problem. Their update 3.15 basically corrupted the ps3's hard drive. The ethical thing to do is to recall all PS3s affected. But sony does not have ethics in my experience.

I'm getting an XBOX next. I'm through with Sony screwing its loyal gamers.

we just brought our ps3 back from the YLOD and had to install update 3.15 mine downloads to 75 % and freezes. says contact tech support. ( 8002F14E) ( sony doesnt know that code) WTF when i turn it back on it automatically restarts trying to install update. safe mode doesn't work and ps3 wont help. they think droppin the prices for service is good enough. ne1 out there that can put the word out on a larger scale that sonys hosing us??

My launch 60GB console still works after 3.15 update, and I did it before it was mandatory. I am having a problem with the audio in my PS3 though, and I probably should buy a PS3 slim for that reason, other than that, no problems with my launch console except for audio is cutting out badly.

Yes, everything still works fine. and my audio problem has greatly improved. I never get any audio problems now, so I will never have to buy a PS3 Slim most likely.

this has happened to me and i told a worker in a game (i dont know if you know that store if your english like me) but he said that the update courrupted most ps3's hard drives.

Same problem here...i was playing SF4 without any kind of problem...I decided to make a download and install this version 3.15...and guess what? Dont read any blue-ray discs....but read normal DVD movies, DATA, Cd audio, PS1/PS2 discs its ok!

Hope sony fix this. If not i will buy another console non-sony never again!
