However, Sam Philips never wrote a song in his life although he did give himself songwriting credits (so you are correct) but its a bit annoying that they did this to make themselves as much money as the guys who really were the creators. It went on then and it still does. I always cringe when I see that Norman Petty co-wrote lots of Buddy Hollys songs. Anyways, its a great song all the same!
