  • Image building that, and installing lion on it! Lion stands for AWESOME!

  • He makes this touch screen mac then sees an iPad ad and is like "Aw man :("

  • it´s not iilamya ProLite T1931SR1-W but iiyama ProLite T1931SR1-W

  • love to here that

  • bro, you are damn good

  • too bad,my wall is concrete!great video

  • Great job, congrats!!

  • how did you boot it up

  • nice, another step so girls wont have to go outside the kitchen, now its time for a toilet and we`re done

  • Is it portable easily ?

  • how can there b 4 dislikes? the video is exactly what the description says it is....

  • Just buy an ipad and past it in the wall, Job Done!!!! but great effort anyways!!!

  • awesome video bro and good work, but your collar was really annoying me...please fix it, thanks!

  • Great stuff, very creative for it's time. Who is the music by?

  • HOW TURN ON???

  • Great job dude, awesome video, good for demo homes. Fix your collar LoL

  • Great but what is the point?

  • amazing but... u have to touch the screen and u have to be there standing to use it

  • Amazing work. Very nicely edited.

  • Where do you plug it in?

  • @PepitoIngles power cord hidden behind the wall

  • Great video man. Two points;

    1) Your handwriting is nearly illegible, and I am a teacher!

    2) You could do a similar thing with an ipad and a VNC client.

    3) Great idea!

  • @PepitoIngles :) video was made in pre-iPad times. check out the iPad 1 version in our channel

  • @VISUALIZERSffm @PepitoIngles to be honest. this video wasnt made in pre-ipad times...... check out 02:18 the center vid.

  • @thecirclechannelten hehe true :P

  • @SupremeKiddy nice catch!

  • Add a hidden compartment below the touch screen that flips down with wireless mouse and keyboard. The flip down door would act as the tray.

Beef your current layout by adding a remote drop down door that hides the whole system.

  • Thank you for sharing this with us

  • Very cool! I would love to do this

  • @VISUALIZERSffm really cool idea, what software did you use to incorporate the touch screen? so that it can work flawless.

  • easier, get an ipad 2 with cams (when it comes out!) and velcro it to the wall!

  • @jeremoviesinc true but the ipad will not be as powerful as this.

  • It would be smarter to do that with a tv. I mean. It's kinda annoying if you must stand there tapping on the wall.

  • good idea but i'd like a proper desk setup at the moment

  • Incredibly pointless but none the less cool!

  • People who make this Are what I call genius

  • do you need a special touch screen monitor for this?

  • great work, I am inspired to do something similar!

  • cool video would this work with HP 2310ti 23" touch screen instead.

  • lame it's not even the right size.

  • what a beautiful idea!

  • @mor747111 cheers

  • @slickrick909 We do appriciate your constructive feedback on our construction work. You may have noticed that we adressed the question of the support structure in a comment earlier. So you do not need to search we can confirm that a new support structure was put in place, however, this was not filmed.

Be assured the house will not colapse and you can sleep at nighy again but thanks for pointing this out.

  • You should build a shelf underneath it and put a mouse and keyboard on it. That on-screen keyboard look small :D :S

  • you need better tools to do that job

  • How long did it take you to get your Hand to get behind the monitor to turn on the mac??

  • Multi touch ?

  • sweet now you get to stand and type on a touch screen lol

  • all that work for a shit looking screen! LOL

  • Lmao you cut out the stud and the roof falls in. That would have sucked :D

  • pretty cool...but using an ipad would have been alot easier...I mean really who needs full os x in their kitchen, you can do just about anything with an ipad...surf the web, do emails (Typing on an Ipad would be MUCH easier), stream all of your media to the ipad from the main computer...the list goes on, its not like you're going to be doing video editing with FCP or anything...I'm just saying...:)

  • and u did this all in 10 min :O woww

  • 10 minutes well spent :) How does one go about turning the Mini on from behind the screen though?

  • Nice wires...

  • That's cool, except that it'd look better if the screen took up the entire hole in the wall.

  • so how can you turn on the mac mini because the power button was on the back of mac mini?

  • Nice Tech and DIY skills combined! Although sorry to sound picky, but wouldn't you want the monitor up another 6-12 inches as it looks a tad low there if you standing face on to it? Maybe it's just the angle of the video?

Good work though, i could not do this.

  • get a keyboard and it'd be perfect

  • this is awesome but dude - get a laptop

  • what is the name of the song?

  • Woah, i wanna live in that house :)

  • You ccant put a Cd or dvd in there now lol nd u need to do this to my bedroom

  • down in front

  • Wouldn't it have sucked to do all that only to find you forgot to plug something in behind there?

  • @Vaughnlesterinoz vesa mount gives still access to all the cables.

  • can u do the same thing but with the new mac mini, ill be buying a mac mini soon, and it seems i like ur videos, so ill be using ur video as a guide to my mac mini set up, thnxx, plz reply

  • @DonKhamairi should be fine with the 2010 mac mini. only thing is that you cannot make effort from the built in hdmi port in the new mini - as far as we know there is no touch screen with osx drivers that is capable of hdmi. but conventional display connection as in the video with standard apple connector should work.

  • How Long did this take?

  • @willkill7533 ca. 6 hours cycled over 3 days

  • @willkill7533

ca. 6 hours cycled over 3 days

  • really a great job dude, wow :O

i only think dat i would get crazy from that touchscreen number pad...

    but, really, it looks cool

  • Nice Setup! I really like your video!

Can u tell me the name of the Background Song?

    Thanks!

  • sweet

  • =) wow!

  • nice! but still, ipad+velcro is direct lol.

  • Wow, your is by far the most entertaining, creative, and impressive. You should work for Apple. :)

  • @Chemmmn thats a nice one, thanks :)

  • Awesome! but..

If your wall comes down is because you took out the a part of the structre lol ;), and why don't you install Mac OSX Leopard?

  • @PublicidadArgentina The wall structure was repalced with a frame. This bit we have not put in the video........The wall is is also screwed into the frame.....

It's running Snow Leopard.......why do you think Leopard is better?

  • @muthma : The desktop is the default for Tiger. That's what initially confused me as well.

  • Very good!

  • You replace the structure you took out of the wall?

  • @ryanpalgood7 of course!

  • Very Impressive!

  • @BigJyeTV cheers

  • limewire app!

  • Very nice! Who makes the Touch Screen? More importantly, who makes the Drivers? Where can i get the Touch Screen Drivers? I'd like to do something similar but need some GOOD Drivers! THANKS!!!

  • @billbudde iiyama

  • It's really cool how you did all that yourself and all. But I don't know why anyone would want to have to stand around while surfing the internet imho. Seems like it would be extremely more advantageous to get an ipad. Ease of use, portability. Just my opinion though.

  • @JuicyDBASE no iPads in Europe available by now. Anyway, the target here was having a full featured OS X machine and not an iPhone based app pad.

  • @VISUALIZERSffm shoot, that's too bad! not that i would buy an ipad, lol. Cool either way though. Mini's are great little machines, very versatile. Maybe you could install some voice activated software so you could be james bond, lol.

  • @JuicyDBASE ;)

  • how do you start it????????????

  • @ArionMavrikis by touching :) Energy Saver settings are adjusted for deep sleep and you wake the machine up by just touching the screen

  • @VISUALIZERSffm thanx =)

  • Looks like a small keyboard to use with touch :)

  • IPAD woud have been a lot cheaper!

  • so you're either doing things like this because you're rich, or your rich because you're doing things like this

  • Inspiring! Still don't know why would you have a mac on the kitchen. This is not bad criticism, it's just that, while people buy a mac mini to fill the wall of a kitchen and actually use it, people like me (and everyone around me) buys it, without touchscreen, and takes it as a powerful tool for work, otherwise it's a wast of time and money, and think of it as the most expensive investiment for healthy finantial way of living. It's not a waste, but mocks people who can't get this way of living.

  • @poinkinha it's just part of a bigger picture: the touch screen mac mini is a client within a media streaming system with several lcd's, 4 macs and the ability to stream all kind of media content around a house. stay tuned if interested in setup and cables.

  • @poinkinha When you have money, what do you have to lose?

  • Wow nice job, Seems to work great! I can only dream of having a touchscreen for my cpu! What editing software did you use? I'm guessing iMovie or final cut express 4? Again Nice job! Cheers

  • @kfwalsh1 right, editing was done with FC.

  • Great video/idea! Very interesting. I have some questions though:

    1) What brand/model is the monitor?

    2) Are additional software/hardware required for touchscreen to work with mac?

    Thanks!

  • Really nice job on video editing and fitting the parts into the wall!

What song is it in the background? Unfortunately Shazam couldn't recognise it.

    Cheers buddy!

  • @DataOutputStream: jane jay, makin' me crazy (via audioswap)

  • Wow! Awesome video, hmmm makes me wanna do the same thing :D

  • start selling these

  • very nice. but for doing mails... i dont think so :)

  • Nice. Liking it.

  • @cuthbertben cheers.
