  • Srry I meant weather ur freight and engines

  • Hey man I love ur videos I want to make a ns railroad to. By the way I'm new and what paints and powders do u use to Esther your freight and engines because i love ur weathering. Can u send me a link or something.

  • Hey! Well, welcome to the hobby then! Thank you for the kind words. I really do appreciate them. I use AIM weathering powders. I would recommend those. Theyre great to learn with because you can wipe them off if you mess up and then just restart! If you go to my youtube page, click on videos, and then enter "weathering" in the search bar, you should be able to find a few different "how to" videos. Thanks and good luck! Let me know if theres anything else I can help you with.

  • Awesome catch!

  • That is an amazing shot, 5 *****stars

  • Great catch there Josh! Awesome consist. I didn't realize they had ac power this far south, and with helpers at that. Does NS always use helpers to take coal up and down the mountain? Thanks for sharing! kj

  • @nsconrailman yes they always do, thanks for watchin my vids

  • Thanks! That was the first time I've ever seen the SD70Aces. Yep, lately there's been at least one AC powered unit on just about every coal train I've seen out of asheville. I believe that may be new to the area, because thats only the second time they've used the pushers going down hill. The use to cut them off at ridgecrest.

  • Another awesome job Josh, great video!

  • Great video. Looks like your layout. Favorited..

  • That bridge looks like the one near the river on your layout. Is that what you are modeling it after?

  • @Weiberts not really, I just wanted a nice bridge on my layout. Thanks for watchin my vids

  • It isn't EXACTLY modeled after this specific place, but much of the inspiration from out layout has come from the old fort loops and the line from Asheville-Old Fort, NC. Much of what you see on the layout can be seen around this area. Thanks!

  • notice how quickly hey says thanks and see ya later goodbye really quick cuz hes cold and wants to get back into his car

  • lol yep! I was pretty cold out! Thanks for wathcing.

  • it looks kinda like your layout kol

  • if you think that train is long, should check out the iron ore trains in Australia, they have up to 500 ore wagons.Awsome vid man!

  • since when did norfolk southern start getting sd70ACe locomotives. i thought they only got sd70M-2 locomotives

  • great

  • Hi! I hate to pry, but it's almost February, and there hasn't been a January layout update. Stuck with school?

  • This is really impressive!!! The area is not commercialized and the fact that is has multiple curves, in my opinion, is superior to the Horseshoe Curve. Thanks for posting it!!!

  • Nice work young man. Do you kno if NS ever allows their ACe units to run on anything other than coal? Do they ever become pool power on other RRs? U kno I live in Cali and I want an NS EMD unit to run with my UP and BNSF power. I was gonna go for an M-2 but I like the numbering series on the ACe better. Thanks Josh.....Steve.

  • Now THAT'S a train!! I didn't think it would end!

  • That is very cool! Nice location and nice catch.

  • AWESOME!! I live in clemmons NC... Old fort is a very cool rr area... I need to get back down thata way...

  • @NSfutureconductor Hey another great place is Altapass,NC. Great orchards up there and spots to trainwatch the old Clinchfield line. About 2 hours from WS or CLT...

  • Nice !
