its a fender standard strat, made in mexico.

I changed a lot of things on it though... the electronics, wiring, pickguard, pickups, and tuning machines.

The pickups are Dimarzio PAF's

No, I didnt use the zoom, I dont have it anymore.

I used a line 6 pod hd300 for the rhythm guitar and my marshall ma50c for the lead

not an expert, but I can recommend a Fender Strat (mim) or an Epiphone Les Paul std, I have those models and they couldnt be better for the money

Really sounds great. Did you modify anything with your guitars? The sound is so close to the famous May Red Guitar - its amazing. Doesn`t think it would be possibly to come so close with Fender and Gibson. Or do you use some special effects?

Thanks man, my epi lp std has seymour duncan alnico II pro pickups, and my fender strat cant be identified as a standard model anymore, I changed a lot of things in it, including pickups, theyre dimarzio PAFs.

But I believe the May like tone has more to do with the EQing on my marshall amp, the mic'ing and a little tweaking on the audio editing software's EQing

well, maybe when I had like 1 year and a half practicing. I could play a long song really good (for my perspective at that time haha). I didnt see results soon.

Ive seen a people, with 2 months playing guitar, playing solos that arent meant for beginners.

I played my first solo decently after 6 months playing guitar, a very easy one :P

I believe thats not important, it only matters how much you love playing guitar. Thats whats gonna take you all the way.

I used my Marshall MA50c. Bass at 8, middle at 10, and treble at 3.

I put the mic to the side of the speaker to focus on the low and mid ranges, but the mic wasnt straight but facing to the center to still capture some important highs.

May's tone is very tricky, a lot of mids and lows, but it still bites, very interesting.

Shouldnt be hard to get May's tone with your amp :D
