@nicolahawkins hmm tricky question. depends on your hoop style, in this video im using a 35inch hoop 3/4 tubing from the states, but i ran a workshop today and did this move with a 43 inch hoop with one inch canadian pipe which weighs a tonne soo... id say that a 38 inch hoop made with 3/4 amer. tubing would be a good beginner hoop for you. but thats my opinion and every hooper out there has there own, but i started hooping in the old days when we all used massive hoops and nothing stopped us.
@spongebobbette23 i got them when i was living in costa rica, there's a small company called guacamole that makes and hand batiks (dyes) all there stuff not sure if they have a website or not but check! maybe ill buy more!
