I think you've got to BOX Mayweather at his own game to beat him. Single shots are usually what offset him and give him problems. Combination defense is what he's been trained for his entire life. When you throw combinations at him, you often miss every punch after the first.
Manny's style would play into Floyd's defense, if Manny was to throw his usual high volume combinations when he gets Floyd cornered or on the ropes. Floyd will be on the constant move though, which gives Manny many probs.

Manny's high punch output will give floyd some serious problems. One thing I notice about floyd is he is very accurate with his punches but he does not throw a lot of punches. Mayweather has to deal with pacquiaos combination punches from different angles, fast hand speed, and being a southpaw. Both fighters will test each other. This fight probably will never happen but maybe just maybe this fight can still happen later this year or sometime next year.

2.) I would imagine Floyd is still training and still sparring despite his pro inactivity.
3.) Paquiao is aging as well. He depends on his speed as well.
4.) Margarito has one of the hardest p4p punches in the sport history. Floyd's chin is solid. Not great. Further, Pacquiao has been dropped and he was hurt by Margarito. Pacquiao can be dropped... maybe even by Mosley!

Another reason is he tends to test his opponents while pretending their punches don't hurt just to mentally destroy their confidence. This is the main reason why Mayweather is afraid of Pacquiao. I think Mayweather made the biggest mistake not taking the fight against Pacquiao after his bout with Hatton. Now Pacquiao fought Cotto, Clottey, Margarito and now Mosley, he definitely have so much confidence nowadays. He gets more experiences & becomes more adept tp his game. We saw now that Pacquiao can take punches from middleweight boxer, he doesn´t even move by those punches. I heard that if Mayweather fights him and use his shoulders for defense, Pacquiao will dislocate that shoulders.

first of all this fight is not gonna happen, pac doesn't wanna take the blood test until the day of the fight, mayweather has problems with the law and so does his uncle.
If this fight somehow does happen, if may has lost his speed then he wont be stupid enough to get in the ring. but if he still has his speed which I doubt then it'll take a few rounds until mayweather figures pac out and starts to counter punch him.

I think you've got to BOX Mayweather at his own game to beat him. Single shots are usually what offset him and give him problems. Combination defense is what he's been trained for his entire life. When you throw combinations at him, you often miss every punch after the first.
Manny's style would play into Floyd's defense, if Manny was to throw his usual high volume combinations when he gets Floyd cornered or on the ropes. Floyd will be on the constant move though, which gives Manny many probs.

Floyd only has waist and upperbody movement but most of the time his foot is planted coz he is ready to counter just like clottey and winky. You can say clottey and winky as having stationary defense while floyd has liquid defense with his elbows, shoulders and forerms and upperbody movement but most of the time his feet is planted. Manny's high punch output will give floyd some serious problems. One thing I notice about floyd is he is very accurate with his punches but he does not throw a lot of punches. Pacquiao can throw over 1000 punches in a 12 round fight easily. I just can't see mayweather winning rounds against a busier more aggressive pacquiao. Oh yeah, welcome back Jaylove.

Plus manny does not fade in the late rounds like a lot of floyds opponents do. Remember, floyd barely beat de la hoya and I see Manny Pacquiao being a lot more dangerous than de la hoya. Mayweather has to deal with pacquiaos combination punches from different angles, fast hand speed, and being a southpaw. Both fighters will test each other. This fight probably will never happen but maybe just maybe this fight can still happen later this year or sometime next year.

I'm curious to see what plan Floyd uses to beat Pacquiao. He usually absorbs their aggression with defense in the early rounds then changes gear when they run out of steam. Pacquiao won't be running out of steam and that's why I think they pressed for the blood test to the day of the fight. I don't see Floyd winning on points either with Manny's output. I picked Pacquiao to win his last 5 fights but I'd have to go with Mayweather by K.O. by the 11th round over Pacquiao. Good vid Jay

1.) Floyd has very solid technical skills. But yes, he is great because of reflexes and speed.
2.) I would imagine Floyd is still training and still sparring despite his pro inactivity.
3.) Paquiao is aging as well. He depends on his speed as well.
4.) Margarito has one of the hardest p4p punches in the sport history. Floyd's chin is solid. Not great. Further, Pacquiao has been dropped and he was hurt by Margarito. Pacquiao can be dropped... maybe even by Mosley!

@JAYLOVE47 my homie got manny ready for margarito (check my video's ) he told me manny is quick and strong he said manny is NOT as small as people think he is and that he has a big problem with fighters with good upper body movement. the reason why zab did so well is because him and floyd did lot's of sparring as kid's hell he even helped floyd go to the Olympics they knew each other to well. manny has been able to control the pace he wont with floyd. i honestly think floyd shut him out

shane hit's really hard i believe floyd has a good chin look up floyd's chin and I don't think manny's angles will bother him. floyd won't stand still angles only affect a fighter who's standing still. floyd will move and stay moving. and fyi floyd dominated all the south paw he's faced. manny has been shown to be a sucker for a jab which floyd has a great one.

@truBoxingfan Do you think Pacquiao will hurt him? If Mayweather is too defensive and not offensive enough, they may give Pacquiao the win for being more aggressive! Floyd takes 3 rounds to figure out a fighter, but he cant sleep on Pacquiao like he did with Judah because Pacquiao wont get tired! So Floyd will have to put rounds in the bag early on, he has to win the early rounds because he doesnt want to fall behind 4 rounds to 2 going into the 7th feel me?

@truBoxingfan floyd lost in the olympics with a southpaw..sothpaws give floyd alot of problem thats why hes father doesnt want him to fight sothpaw...
