I saw a grey market 125r from Thailand the other day...someone went to a great deal of trouble and expense to get it into the US. I wish there was some way to convince companies to import smaller bikes for the US market. There are a few more dual sports popping up now, but nothing like this little sport bike. My MZ RT125 only goes about 72 KPH, and the future of the company is in doubt.

it actually grips like nothing on earth its sooooooooo light you can throw it into corners so fast (about 80 lol) but it is too thin i hopped on a zx6r today coz im buying it nd gonna restrict it to 33 bhp and it felt like i hopped onto a frigin horse
good luck trying to restrict a zx6r to 33bhp it's not gonna happen... there making about 120hp to begin with, the engine will never run at 33bhp. You will never get 33bhp out of a 636cc or if it's the newer zx6r 600cc. In dyno runs we've got the 05 636 up to 137hp with it's duel fuel injection, power commander and running on alcohol. But never heard of anyone wanting to take power out of it though. You will just never gget just 33bhp out of it. it will simply never run man.
65mph. Can be upped. A wobbly bike at slower speeds. Ignition area very prone to rust after rain. An ideal city bike and commuter bike (up to 10 miles) not for country runs. Great fuel economy.

Yes you are right about the tires and the front mask is ugly in the older ones, but i think 07s front mask looks agressive, but the bike is too thin. I have 05 cbr 125r and i think its very comfort to ride and in corners it tuly is a beast (for 125cc:s) if you can ride. And its the best 4 stroke 125cc bike ever!
i guess it depends on what you like. if you ride everyday long distances than it's better to have a 4 stroke. but if you just whant fun than a 2 stroke is better. but still if you don't push it to the end all the time and treat it properly than it still lasts about 20000 km before going to the mehanic.
well...i'm not into sportsbikes too much anyway so my dream is: Husqvarna WR 125. it has a little less than 40 HP stock. :) i hope i save enough money for it.
Great bike rs are oily and unreliable the performance doesnt make up for the high maintainance costs. Nsr would beat rs and i like to see that go 106mph rgv 250 would be quick to do that. GO CBR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i didnt say it wasnt fuel injected. there are 2 things in coolant antifreeze and water. hence the term water cooled. i used to race a honda rs125 gp bike, in which u werent allowed to put antifreeze so you just put water in.

guys Kawasaki is about to releash teh NEW ninja 250r which it's price is very close to sbr 125r and it's much better, powerfull and beautifull.. I was going to buy cbr 125r but when i learn about kawasaki ninja 250r 2008 then i cahnged my mind!!!!

We have the Honda CBR 150R in asia. And its supposed to be faster than this CBR 125R. Yeah! But nothing beats the 2 strokes (except the environmentalists).
I own one of these and I've never ridden a bike that's better for lane splitting. because of it's narrow body and tiny 114Kg Dry-weight, it can manuever through traffic (and actually fit!) like no other bike I've ever ridden. I have a Ducati 749, Honda CBR600R, and this, and I prefer to use the 125 to get to and from work, it's a really fun bike to ride. :)
i have this bike and i have to say its the best 125 out there. ok so the aprillia rs looks better (i had this before the CBR) but it spent most of its time in the garage. CBR all the way

@soulofone A tuned 50cc can easily do 120km/h.. This CBR's top speed is around 140km/h, NSR's is 160km/h which is much better for a 125cc.

CBR looks better and it's more economical. CBR must look good and don't have to go so fast. NSR is 2stroke CBR 4stroke. It is a big difference. When you want to say something, think first!

Aprillas are known to be unreliable and break alot, Hondas are known to be bullet proof.
Also this is a bike most teenagers aim for as its a 125cc, Teenagers don't have the money to be making constant repairs to there bikes.

i didnt say it wasnt fuel injected. there are 2 things in coolant antifreeze and water. hence the term water cooled. i used to race a honda rs125 gp bike, in which u werent allowed to put antifreeze so you just put water in.

mitos suck major gear box issues and the apprilla will go pop far quicker than the cbr, go 4 stroke every time i got a 25 year old cb125 twin that kicks arse at 90mph top end even the cbr 125 wont keep up love to see the 2 strokes last 25 years

guys Kawasaki is about to releash teh NEW ninja 250r which it's price is very close to sbr 125r and it's much better, powerfull and beautifull.. I was going to buy cbr 125r but when i learn about kawasaki ninja 250r 2008 then i cahnged my mind!!!!

Got this bike last week, looks the biz :P...done 140 miles alredi. Its onli pulling 55mph tho in 6th (!)...wich is pathetic and no idea why...anyone for suggestions?? The revs suddenly stick or shoot right up 2 10,000 too...wats going on!!? Part frm tht great bike :D lol

I own one of these and I've never ridden a bike that's better for lane splitting. because of it's narrow body and tiny 114Kg Dry-weight, it can manuever through traffic (and actually fit!) like no other bike I've ever ridden. I have a Ducati 749, Honda CBR600R, and this, and I prefer to use the 125 to get to and from work, it's a really fun bike to ride. :)

Not really, for a 125 CC 30 HP is almost a limit..anything over that is a risk for it...
cause...revving it on high rpm is deadly...the piston starts to damage itself and the cylinder soo :P...
Plus Aprilia rs 125 has 30'ish HP fully open
