@allgood2000 wait the lady was pregnant and she woke her son up in the middle of the night and you was pooping out blood you got the question from the episode loggers baby part 2
@Jackassfan7651 I'm not sure, I can't find the comment you're referring to. It might be "Christmas Bulb Choke" from Episode 612. That one has a baby (not a lady) who chokes on a metal ornament and coughs up blood.
@spikedeadman As you should be...she's the epitomy of professionalism and one of the best that the MoH has ever employed. Does she still work for the MoH?
@spikedeadman IVery interesting =) They said in this episode the incident happened in St. Catherines, Ontario. Was it a 9-1-1 call or did the community have a local emergency number? Just out of curiosity.
@JoeOnBroadway They would have called the local Ambulance number (for Queenston and 9th Street, it would have been the St. Catharines number (905) 984-5050 which at the time would have been area code 416. Note how the call taker answers the phone with the time - that was what they did on non-911 transfers. Some dispatchers did it for all, but the common practice was only for non-911 calls to preceed with the time.
@exkalibur25ca I see. Now I couldn't exactly hear how Denise answered the phone because of the background noise? What exactly did she say? If I may ask
They do reenactments or events that did happen in real life It's not fake but they're not going to have cameras rolling every time there's an emergency. You can use Google and actually find news stories for a lot of stories that were featured on the show.
all these accidents could have been avoided, never let your child run around the house with food in his mouth. but they were veryyyyyyyyy veryyyyyy lucky
I want to become a 911 dispatcher as a result of this episode/program. If I can save many lives then my gift from God is complete. If i do get the job I would thank William Shatner and CBS for having such a profound impact on my decision.
I'm a paramedic and went through a similar situation when my daughter wasn't breathing. She was in a car accident involving drunk driving; I still have the ribbon that says MADD on it, and I'm still a mother against drunk driving.
Screaming and panicking never helps; in fact, it can hurt the victim b/c your attention isn't fully focused on the patient.
When parents start acting like that on a call with me, I have the law enforcement control them. I am not willing to risk the patient's life because their parents/friends are being distracting.
I do that when they're REALLY bad, like when this woman screamed nonstop-I'm serious, she hardly took a breath-while we were working on her 3-month old baby who had quit breathing after having whooping cough.
I've never seen anybody before or since scream as loud and as continuously as she did.
In part one of this episode the father stated his son had "food allergies" to wheat, barley, oats, etc. The first two, if not all three, contain gluten which is the root issue in celiac disease. If they ONLY mentioned ONE grain, I would say food allergy, but multiple grains is much more likely to be a gluten issue.
Considering this episode is 17 years old, it is understandable that Celiac is NOT mentioned, since it wasn't widely know by the general public until the 2000's.]
Like bread, cookies, crackers, donuts, cake, pie, and pasta? I sure wish you and beatlemoe can upload more episodes. I know you're probably at school. But I'd really appreciate it.
@ZMommaL56, everyone's allergic to somethings, when i was in school, an old classmate of mine allergic to oranges, and even i'm allergic to cheetos (the big puffy kind).
Hello allgood2000 Thank-you so much for uploading this eposide that is too bad this guy chocked on a peanet. But I'm happy he is ok but I hope you are doing well Quadracer687 (Laura)

At 2:32, when the dad lifts his head up you can sort of see the face of what appears to be a doll.
In fact I wonder if they outfitted the doll/dummy used for the situation/ re-enactment with what mathew was wearing for the re-enactment,
