  • the ps2s were quite nortorious for the lasers but i thought the slimlines were quite solid

  • tsk...tsk...tsk...playboy....

  • you are stupid morron son of bitch

  • playboy?!!!

  • hold the switch dowm where the light is to indiate it is closed

  • there is a black butten you got to push for it to work

  • There are 2 sensors that need to be pressed down! And by having no case, they are up!

  • may be thats your laser broken my old ps2 had the same problem so i smash my old ps2 and buy a new one

  • my friend had the same problem.what he did.put a disk in close it.open it up rotate the disk around then close it then it would read.

  • if u want, u can send it to me, and i could rip my laser unit of my broken ps2 (the motherboard broke) and put it on urs for free.

  • could u give it to me

  • sure... i guess. PM me ur mailing address. i could send to u. im only sending it to people who live in the USA..

  • 1st of all it's not your laser :) it's just the disk tray so here's wat u do get a peice of toliet paper (or tissue) and bll it up into a small ball open up your disk tray (there's no need to unscrew it) look for the tiny square in the front with the switch in it and put the tissue ball in it to hold the switch down close your tray and u should be ready to go :)

  • can u explain a little better i want to try this method

  • well you gotta open up ur ps2, there is a switch by the cd spinner holder thingy to the upper right of it i believe and you gotta get some tape to hold that switch down or something to hold it down, then you gotta add a balled up peice of tissue in the front square where the switch is. Then Add a q-tip to the square in the back of the ps2 tray then ur ready to swap disk :D simple

  • thanks i'll try that if it doesn't work i'll ask u again and maybe i wont have to pay 30$ to get it repaired

  • my buddys does that a lot, haha if you lightly put your hand on the top of the opener door for the disc like holdin it down till the game started it works most times

  • wtf did you to your ps2 ?

  • im pretty sure you need to put it back together or trick the case sensors to thinkin the lids closed otherwise it wont spin the disc up mate...

  • did you block the sensors?

  • how?

  • fuckoff man

  • lol dam a playboy game :)

  • um...can i ask you why you play you ps2...naked? not you naked the ps2 naked...

  • It's 'naked' to show that the thing that makes the disc rotate is not spinning.. my playstation got the same problem :(

  • my ps2 was playing fine for a couple of hours but then it stopped working after i turned it of...then when i wanted to play again the disk didnt want to spin and it only went to the browser menu. I tried to fix it but the only one solution is buy a new one...

  • you need to get that fat playstion 2 it is the same thing virtualy but it is better on the outside

  • u have to push a button to make the rotate put it into the skin and it'll work

  • My Slim PS2 won't work and i don't know where to even take it to get it fixed. I'm 11 and all I know is it works fine till the cord is moved and it loses power. I could jiggle it back to getting power until today. My mom thinks it needs a new cord but we don't know where to even start. I sure miss it....

  • omg the same thing with me i always have to put the cord under my ps2 and it works but when ever u nudge it then it turns off...

  • same fing happend to my ps2 and i dont

know how to fix it have you fixt your one yet if you did tell me how you done it ite kl

  • how do you fix the ps2 slim because my disc wont spin

  • yeh no shit i found that out like 5 mins after i made the vid and postid it lol but i did that and still diddnt work

  • it was the cover that was fucked up and diddnt press properly so i got it fixed for free

  • dumbass it thinks the cover is open ofcourse it's not going to load your disc

  • I Think I Found the way!!!

    just do this:

Insert the disc in and then hold the cover Hard down untill the game loads

  • this would have worked but i got it fixed and that was the problem anyway, the cover wasnt pressing down on the button lol

  • @WoG4LyFe69 hahahahahahaha

  • @lozt2 thanks man. i got it working.. just hold the cover hard rox until the game loads..

  • @lozt2 You can also use tape or gum. I used tape and it worked!

  • Hey, mine ps2 slm has fallen 3 times and its still fine! But its getting hot after playing it for an hour.

  • If your willing to sell it, ill purchase it or if you would like to repair it i can offer you a price for the repair,

contact me through youtube messages or at

    United.Games AT hotmail DOT com

  • how much for a repair?

  • Hi, Well from what i can see so far is the spindle (the part that spins the cd) maybe damaged. if it turns out the spindle is not damage, A failed laser could make the cd not spin on the slim ps2. your looking at about 25.00 for labor and what ever the replacement part cost Spindles run about 20 and the slimlime laser run about 20 also.

I recommend not to try to do this your self, you can make matters worse

  • i would like to buy the whole laser unit for $20 right?

  • i have the same problem does the gaminggooses sugestion work?

  • The fact that it powers up on the screen is irrelevant. You can disconnect everything and it will boot. You need to take off the laser unit itself and see if the wires are connected to the board. If one go knocked just a little loose, then it will not get power and work. Try that first.

  • thanks mate i'll try that ill keep you updated if anything happens

  • did it work because my ps2 is messed up as well

  • did it work

  • nup cant find anything

  • ok i though it was my laser but its my flip top on my ps2 tht is messed up.
