This is one of the most beautiful and spectacular things I've ever seen.

For people who are sticklers saying it's not ballet need to relax and get over it and stop being so critical. Sure it may not be "traditional" but the positions, extension, athleticism and grace overshadow that. She obviously has had years of ballet training. Going on pointe is not something that happens overnight, let alone doing a perfect arabesque on pointe.

Why can't people just appreciate it for what it is?

Yes I agree, it is not ballet in the traditional sense but it does incorporate many elements from ballet. It is obvious that both dancers have gone through extensive classical ballet training. Also if Claude Bessy (blonde lady talking at the beginning, and director of the Paris Opera Ballet School) is impressed, it pretty much means you're amazing. Brava!! These dancers get accolades from all categories: athletisism, artistry, and technique.
