Well i was about to not leave this film eny coment what so ever, But as i thought 2 min after this trailer got me thinking of the cartoon`s ivè grown up with and also movies from a age not long ago read 90`s to early 80. Perhaps the story of the "masters of the universe" comes from other comics, but the original concept comes from conan.

@TheTeamEvil the first toy comes with a comic book that tells a story rather vague: Skeletor is the the enemy clan's leader.. a bird gives to HE-MAN a sword of power that later was divided into 2 halves.. SKELETOR took one half and HE-MAN the other one.. until there is the reference conan :P

when Filmation took the story to the TV made​him an extreme makeover changing completely the plot. Surely there Filmation used the references that you say..

From what I remember, some toy factory made Conan action figures, but in the last moment they lost the rights to sell them as Conan toys, so they called him He-Men, and made a cartoon out of it. That's why it might look like Conan :P
