Love the '55 Belvedere. If I had money and time to restore a car, that would be what I'd want. That was our dependable car when I was a kid. The old Porsche left us sitting on the side of the road, and then we'd drive old reliable.

I'll tell ya why these cars r sittin. People think they r worth $20,000 in this condition. Missing the motor and trans and interior and wrecked/completely rusted out. The cars you see going for $100,000+ are ORIGINAL condition,rare option cars w/matching# drivetrains and sheetmetal. Guys watch these auctions and think all cudas/challengers/etc. w/be worth that restored and that is not the case. Plus a typical QUALITYoff-frame resto is $50/100,000+ and that's if the car is complete and intact.

158 back in 1992 - 1993 me and a friend was driving in the back streets in conroe texas and i saw a car exactly like that.but what got my attention was the engine size 340!!!!!!!!!!!!i was like damn i ll ahve to go back and check about that.and sure enough week later saw it was gone then saw someone pulling it and it i saw it was a 4 speed.i was pissed!But being 19 and no oney and being a shitty driver a 340 duster would been bad to have.but now id gladly take one.
