I realised that the third phase of my boss fight is slightly different than yours. The queen jumps on to the tower, i shoot her down, she falls off, comes back up in the air and immediatly does the attack. After that she automatically falls down. I hit her with the hammer of dawn, and than she jumps up on the tower again. I bring her down, and she flys around again. She falls down once more, i hit her with the hammer - done.
Just failed the third phrase a dozen times with a buddy. This is madness.
To summarise all my rage:
1) Give me a checkpoint! (What an understatement... I want manual saving back!!!)
2) WTF Hammer of Dawn has ammo? I hated that already in Gears 2. To prevent spamming, they can just disable it ("satellite is offline", remember?) for some areas like in Gears 1. Plus, I hate it the stronger weapons cannot be refilled by ammo boxes. They really thought too much about balancing.
Looks like insane to me alright! Great watch, Dont look forward to doing this later, Batterys currently charging and only on about act 3 or something at the mo but havent struggled yet but have bad memories of the insta death from Hardcore playthrough but this looks like a solid enough walkthrough, Cheers!

Awesome strategy man, I modified the strategy using super reload lol, but it went so much smoother than the cluster fuck you get into staying with the rest of the team.

Why is it that my insane fight have those flying blobs with guns? I have to fight with Theron Guards AND those flying blob of gun! I am getting gunned at every direction!

@TheSeraphim17 Just a Tip, when you finally get the queen down and about to use the Hammer of dawn, if you point the aimer above the bugs head and keep it there, you can get the queen in one hit instead of two alot faster i found

I did this with my friend and he was on Normal and me on Insane. I died at the same exact time as the queen and it showed the cutscene and everything, but after the ending it said "Objective failed: DashedJUGGALO96 has died." I hope this spot you showed in the video will help me do this.

Omfg I tried killing this boss with a friend for like 3 hours today , we got up to the third part but failed time and time again. Not knowing about the spot you were at my only real tactic was to hide around the backside of the tower, and try hit her from the side which didn't really work cos she kept on killing Adam, the only bonus I found there was that the guards didnt spawn there as much. Thanks a shit loads for this guide I will definitely be trying that spot tomorrow =)
@iLyAndrewReinhardt Since my last message I have actually beat the boss, and I really don't wan't to go through the extreme pain of doing it again. I wish you all the luck I can give, stick to the spot this guy's showing and try to play on singleplayer I found that the AI help out a lot and that the boss has a lot less health when you're doing it by yourself
they spawned on the opposite side of the arena. sometimes, they don't spawn at all. i killed a few in my run, but they were never plentiful like they can be - hence the luck thing i mention
@TheSeraphim17 I get an infinite respawn of those fucking blobs, they never fucking end, I kill 6 or 7 of them and sure enough 6 or 7 respawn and follow me around like a fucking puppy. I almost punched my girlfriend and risked a domestic violence charge this mourning. This bullshit boss battle is the most rage inducing thing I have ever encountered in a video game. No amount of Deadmans Hand could ever piss me off this much. I think I'm going to cry.

Here what I used, have a friend who has already beating the camping on insane. The fallowing mutators are recommended, super reload, infinite ammo, big head (big head is to make the tempest a bigger target). You both work on it and when the guard spawn, your better of the 2 players works on the tempest and the other guy works on the guard. And the shriekers your bot teammates well work on trust me.
I don't wanna burst your bubble because i gotta agree with you but... That was the way that Skorge was Going to look But they wanted him to be more Kantusie Less like another Raam. But he was going to be Skorge. That's why he is on the back of the Hydra Reaver. But at least All the info i have found on it. Say's It's Skorge.
just a pointer. if u aim hammer of dawn at tempest head it goes down/ get off the floor in half a hammer bar. if u aim at the body u need more than a full hammer to get it off the floor.
OMG. I did it! Solo! Thanks for the tips and the video. There's just SO MUCH LUCK in this, especially with the A.I. If your teammates manage to kill the Palace Guards and some of the Shriekers you're good. It's just not possible in co-op with 4 players.
After hours of trying and trying finally managed to do it after using this method.on of the hardest achievements out there,nice one cheers for the vid.
Finally beat the campaign on Insane yesterday, I think killing the Tempest as long last was the closest I've come to weeping with joy in a long, long time
i made it at the end and suddenly when the tempest was on the ground she suddenly killed Adam while she was downed and while i was shooting her with the hammer of dawn.
While I didnt use it in my initial beating of the game on insane. After about 500 goes, on go 501 I finally got the positioning right using your method only topping up my hammer ammo that one time, using up all my gorgon plus some lancer to knock her off the tower twice and knocking her off the ledge using the hammer twice. And I finally beat her for the second time on insane twice in three days lol. So cheers, my hat goes off to you for having the tactics that worked for me.
It might be hard but, honestly i feel a bit happy compared to GoW 2 final boss this is a accomplishment. I remember ramm on insane, the krill shield was bull the worst part was moving from one end of the train to the other and getting ammo. The 1 sec kill burst and the AI Dom which i had to run up get shot and for some reason critically bock the passage form one end to the other. Not including the reavers and krill that pinned while ramm got closer around the corners of cover to shooting at you.
I did it... I finally fuckin' did it ! My arms were shaking and my heart was beating like crazy at the end but i fucking did it ! Nothin like listening to the final song after defeating that bitch! Thanks for the advice man it worked like a charm :))

And your comment about the first Gears of War the end Locast on the Reaver I believe that is skorge cause if you look at the reaver the reavers the same type as skorge rode in Gears 2 i just think they had a designe for skorge in gears 1 but redesiged skorge for the second game.
@oWARF4REo There's different kinds of hammer of dawns. The big ones are only usable by some form of controller and are the ones that destroy cities, but the one that you can use is a miniature, more portable version.

To kill Theron guards.. just dont strike the queen whit the hammer when she is down... if you dont the queen dont fly.. so you have time to kill the therons.. when the therons die then you strike with the hammer.. thats an easy way to finish the game on insane too...

At the beginning of my fight, there are the fucking flying little fat kirbys everywhere killing me where ever i am. This is bullshit how you had none.
@joojr2779 you gotta kill them in the first sequence while your hammering the tempest otherwise they will spawn in the second i had the same problem after i accidently picked the restart chapter, so your gonna have to restart the chapter and do it so they will dissapear.
Congrats to you bro! I tried it on 4 player co-op Insane. What a major dildo fuck that was! My friends and I kept re-playing that part for SEVEN fucking hours. We couldn't killl her. Too many Palace Guards just kept respawning. I swear, I felt like breaking something. But the next day, I played alone on Insane and I beat it! It seems that it's nearly impossible to do on 4 player co-op.
That third stage is just ridiculous... I had to take a break because it was so frustrating, and I am not looking forward to going and attempting it again. For some reason you don't have any of the Shreikers flying around you, but those things are an absolute pain in the ass. Good walk through, though. I will try using that spot.
I managed to do it thanks to your walkthrough! The only think I would advise people should do is start on 'Act 5 - Ascension' and make sure they have a Retro Lancer because it deals a shit ton more damage to the Tempest than the normal Lancer. Apart from that, very good video thanks very much!

@pwnmaster321 A good idea? Do it on Arcade mode with your powerful actives and infinite ammunition. This way you don't have to find ammo for your primary weapon.

Good idea but it doesnt quite work for me, i dont have the gorgon only the snub , so i cant seem to take it down as fast. Also, after the first time i hammer it, it takes it about two seconds to crack the window. I'll keep trying but this is not my idea of entertainment, it only enrages me.

@SkySkyJ I did this on public arcade with active reload mutator, one of the other players killed the Myyrah while I took care of the palace guards, it still took like 50 minutes of dying to complete it though.
I wasn't even gonna attempt insane on Gears 3 based on the fact that I couldn't complete insane on Gears 2 but damn it I wanted that Mission Impossible weapon skin. just a pointer. if u aim hammer of dawn at tempest head it goes down/ get off the floor in half a hammer bar. if u aim at the body u need more than a full hammer to get it off the floor.

OMG. I did it! Solo! Thanks for the tips and the video. There's just SO MUCH LUCK in this, especially with the A.I. If your teammates manage to kill the Palace Guards and some of the Shriekers you're good. It's just not possible in co-op with 4 players.

While I didnt use it in my initial beating of the game on insane. After about 500 goes, on go 501 I finally got the positioning right using your method only topping up my hammer ammo that one time, using up all my gorgon plus some lancer to knock her off the tower twice and knocking her off the ledge using the hammer twice. And I finally beat her for the second time on insane twice in three days lol. So cheers, my hat goes off to you for having the tactics that worked for me.

It might be hard but, honestly i feel a bit happy compared to GoW 2 final boss this is a accomplishment. I remember ramm on insane, the krill shield was bull the worst part was moving from one end of the train to the other and getting ammo. The 1 sec kill burst and the AI Dom which i had to run up get shot and for some reason critically bock the passage form one end to the other. Not including the reavers and krill that pinned while ramm got closer around the corners of cover to shooting at you.

Hey TheSeraphim17 good walkthrough helped me alot. And your comment about the first Gears of War the end Locast on the Reaver I believe that is skorge cause if you look at the reaver the reavers the same type as skorge rode in Gears 2 i just think they had a designe for skorge in gears 1 but redesiged skorge for the second game.

@oWARF4REo There's different kinds of hammer of dawns. The big ones are only usable by some form of controller and are the ones that destroy cities, but the one that you can use is a miniature, more portable version.

To kill Theron guards.. just dont strike the queen whit the hammer when she is down... if you dont the queen dont fly.. so you have time to kill the therons.. when the therons die then you strike with the hammer.. thats an easy way to finish the game on insane too...

@joojr2779 you gotta kill them in the first sequence while your hammering the tempest otherwise they will spawn in the second i had the same problem after i accidently picked the restart chapter, so your gonna have to restart the chapter and do it so they will dissapear.

Congrats to you bro! I tried it on 4 player co-op Insane. What a major dildo fuck that was! My friends and I kept re-playing that part for SEVEN fucking hours. We couldn't killl her. Too many Palace Guards just kept respawning. I swear, I felt like breaking something. But the next day, I played alone on Insane and I beat it! It seems that it's nearly impossible to do on 4 player co-op.

That third stage is just ridiculous... I had to take a break because it was so frustrating, and I am not looking forward to going and attempting it again. For some reason you don't have any of the Shreikers flying around you, but those things are an absolute pain in the ass. Good walk through, though. I will try using that spot.

I managed to do it thanks to your walkthrough! The only think I would advise people should do is start on 'Act 5 - Ascension' and make sure they have a Retro Lancer because it deals a shit ton more damage to the Tempest than the normal Lancer. Apart from that, very good video thanks very much!

Good idea but it doesnt quite work for me, i dont have the gorgon only the snub , so i cant seem to take it down as fast. Also, after the first time i hammer it, it takes it about two seconds to crack the window. I'll keep trying but this is not my idea of entertainment, it only enrages me.

@SkySkyJ I did this on public arcade with active reload mutator, one of the other players killed the Myyrah while I took care of the palace guards, it still took like 50 minutes of dying to complete it though.

I wasn't even gonna attempt insane on Gears 3 based on the fact that I couldn't complete insane on Gears 2 but damn it I wanted that Mission Impossible weapon skin.
