Seriously, I have tried EVERY strategy. I actually gave up for a couple months on this boss. But with xiii2 coming out next week i figured I'd try again. Looked this strategy up....took me 4 minutes. 5 starred it. YOU ARE MY HERO.

I beat this guy in 10 minutes on the second try. it was easy when I changed Fang to be lead. have Hope and Lightning, then switch where Fang was Sab Hope and Lightning were Rav..tore him up bad. Also I upgraded my accessories for Fang to have some crazy strength.

I had a ton of trouble with his first form on my first playthrough. On my second playthrough, using Lightning, Hope, and Fang, I crushed him in all three of his forms. It's not hard if you know what your doing.

I think i beat him in half the time and i only had one slot for fang so stuck with the brawlers wristband lv1 and had no aurora scarf for sazh. thanks again, all the online guides resulted in 20 min battles which always lose.

Easy boss. All you have to do is buff your party, debuff him, stagger him, then switch to Cerberus (Com/Com/Com.) He'll die in two staggers.

Dude, I was having a huge trouble with him. Everyone kept telling me I should upgrade my weapons/accessories (until then I upgraded none of them), but your strategy made the whole fight a walk in the park without having to grind for CP or upgrading my equipment. Very good!

@lodgeroadkyd Don't waste time upgrading weapons before post-game. At most upgrade some accessories since they are much cheaper and easier to upgrade than weapons. The strategy shown in this video is very good, it should be enough for you to defeat him.

Oh god! This time I had him down to 11.000 when the Doom Counter reached 0. Also the Eidolon trick doesn't work (at least it didn't for me). When you summon one the counter is paused and then just resumed when the Eidolon disappears.

Oh Christ... I'm really looking forward to grinding endlessly just to stand a chance to beat him. Seriously: Who there at Square Enix got the idea that insanely long battles are more fun than challenging battles? I took me like half an hour to get him down to 1,000,000 HP, then he casted doom and... Well... That was that. The only really fun (and challenging) battle so far was Hecatoncheir. He really took a good strategy to beat, but the battle itself only took a few minutes.

I got him first time in about 4:40 I think but that's because I spent AGES just fighting random monsters, accumulating loads of CP. I had Lightning, Sazh and Vanille all at level 4 on their primary abillites and up to the 12000 stage in the crystarium with their secondary abilities and I was switching between Bully, Diversity and Relentless Assault. I pretty much owned him though, it felt good xD

Ok, so I just upgraded everyone in my party to have ~2,300 HP, and used your same strategy.

After spending 2 straight days on this stupid boss, is finally dead. Only took me 2 tries using this video (forgot to fix Paradigm first time).
