and to everyone saying that you'll lose items, and to make it run for less time...
this design came from Etho, who had a very specific need: a timer that would tell him when he could pick up the max amount of items at once. he didn't care if he lost some items, he was getting plenty.
@tisbufferzz Well it wasn't hooked up to a trap. But anyways that still makes it fairly useless. By the time the timer goes off the materials have already began to despawn.

But wouldn't it be a better idea to make the alarm go off a bit earlier than when the items despawn? Because then you can rush over to collect it.

Don't you realize you could just attach the alarm directly to the first pressure plate? Why do you need a dispenser and a second one?

FIRST! wow! thats pretty smart, since the mob spawns will keep coming, the pp will never deactivate. smart idea to trigger a secondary timer.
