  • where did you get the backing tracks?

  • Great job but i hate the backing track vocals

  • Awesome tone brother, keep it up.

  • dud ur sick. right on man

  • Just hit the site there, I like it, I like it a lot. If it's cool with you I'll be passing this one along to my brothers and sisters out here on the West Coast as a good site to visit and maintain an ongoing relation too (with, whatever the proper grammer would be). Anyways thanks for the site as well, cheers mate, later.

  • So it's not a copy? not that there are not top of line so called knock offs, not that I'm saying this beautiful instrument is, whatever it is , it is one stellar looking and sounding apparently that I have to ask, just what are the particular of your guitar. The whole thing is beyond cool it's bloody impressive as is the playing I would like to add. Cheers mate , you've got the sound and the look all in one package my friend. Go for it sir!

  • ghost arms

  • I have seen and heard many a cover, and I bow in the presence of a Master. Just badass. This is badassery (I know it's not a word, but it fits) at its finest. The way you blacked out everything but your guitar is quite nice. You can really see what's going on.

  • DUDE!!!!

  • Love the Black Background effect. Great job playing that song :-)

  • Aside from your wonderful talent, I like the way you light your videos. The guitar is nicely lit and the fact you are wearing black so you blend in with dark (black) background focuses all eyes on your guitar playing (there no background viewable distractions.) Very smart. I should also point out the songs I've watched you play offer every little character note the original artists' play that many other tutorial or covers on YT do not, and for that I commend you. Thank you!

  • I this the common tone u get out of a maple board -tele? Im seekin' for more twangy, Skynyrdish sound and I don't want that dark LP sound.. skynyrd's LP sounds great tho... but, if I would found, let's say, maple boarded used stock American Tele from Fender, would I get a skynyrdish sound with bugera v22?

  • How can one pair of hands and a single guitar have such stage presence? They mesmerize me for hours!

  • Yeah... who needs a body as long as you have: Your arms, your guitar and your amazing talent.

  • Lol

you can't see your shirt so it just looks like floating arms.

  • I love it, all your videos are great!

I was wondering if you could give me some tips on how to get a good crunch sound.

I mostly play heavy metal, so I don't really know how much gain to use to get that sweet crunch sound you got going on there.

    Anyway, great videos!

  • WOW............ great....... love it!!!!!!

  • Ladies and Gentleman behold the amazing guitar playing floating arms! Great job.

  • Fantastic job on that. No question the best on youtube.

  • this guy is one hell of a player.my hats off to you my friend.

  • man this guitar brings sad memories.my giutar teacher had that guitar and he was also one of james brown's backing band.and he also died around october this year

  • So that's how a Tely should sound eh? Nice job.

  • this dude knows his stuff! i see why the views are high.there is a lot of skill, heart, performace and x factor going on here!

  • nice tone!

  • I'm speechless! Sounds amazing! This is how you play guitar my firends!

What kind of pickups are in that Tele?

  • @62burst - Hi, I use Lindy Fralin 'Stock Tele' pickups.

  • Ive heard this song a million times. MyTwangyGuitar is definitely the one playing this. Good job man.

  • what a beautiful song. it always puts me in a good mood whenever i hear it!

  • it sounds a little different because it sounds like he is playing it like the original version of the song which was tuned down a half step, the one you normally hear is is regular tuning

  • jamesburton u r an idiot its plain to see he is making all the correct fingerings for every note that you hear. hmmm i guess he just did this video for a video making excercise what a moron

  • NIce job! I heard this song many times over the years, and thought to myself "I am going to look on youtube for this cover to learn".Thanks for the upload.

  • Man You jam!!!!!

When I am looking at guitar videos on here and see that Telecaster of yours I always click on the video. Even if it is a song that isn't one of my favorites, I know that you will play it better than the album.

    Thanks for sharing with us.

  • A guitar never had it so good. A real pleasure to watch.

  • great, my favorite! Gimme Three Licks, Mister

  • @rcflybry haha ok!

  • 5 people didnt ask for 3 steps

  • hmm wheres his pick? i mean hes just puttin his fingers together, and wheres the singer the base and the drum commin from?

  • @THEfbplayer

Well, hes probably either playing along with the song, or has a backing track of the song. :) But everything he's playing is correct.

  • @1994aharris def a back track or something he put together himself...i'm impressed w/ the guitar though...gary plays a LP for this song...and this tele is every bit as hot as one of those...MMM MMM!

  • Perfection! It looks like your guitar is floating because of the black background and your black T-shirt!

  • smoooooooooothhhhhhhh

  • In 1985 when I met my wife Linda, I started calling her Linda Lou. When we got married, she didnt have a middle name so she added LOU as her middle name when she changed her last name to mine. What a girl, ( by the way, I DID kiss her ! ).

  • @xraytech2011

    Fun fact:

Ronnie used to add, "Wait a minute mister/I didn't even stick her." in concert.

  • Hi MTG, just some positive feedback, even though jamming is always fun, your time and energy to post these is well appreciated!

It has been about 35 years that I been waiting to learn some of these.

Beside the RnR, keep up the rockabilly and 50's.....these are fun to learn.

  • I love your vids, and your playing is top notch. I've been playin' for 30 years, and every time I watch you I learn so much....Thanks for that.

  • Are you Keith Richards, Joe Perry, Jimmy Page or Eric Clapton messin' with us? You're "Right On" and NEVER MISS A NOTE!!! I just love watching and listening as you play that guitar(s)! :) If you're not famous - you should be!

  • I really hope there is some way you can soon re-post your version of "Midnight Rambler!" Although EVERYTHING you do is GREAT, to me, that is the best! :)

  • WHERE IS YOUR BODY??

  • Awesome job!

  • still lovin your stuff Sam, I'm still alive and well. Two years off work now, been tough at my age. I want your CCR DVD soon a s I can save some pennies. Always loved the groove to three steps. Listen to the bass line during the break on Lovin Spoonful's 60's hit "Jugband Music". Sounds like Skynard lifted it directly, I'm not criticizin 'em, we all do it. Blues and R&R is one big stew lol. I really love the low down run in "Jugband", Another great job on three steps Sam!!!

  • GREAT job on this song man! You sure got to do more Lynyrd's and other southern stuff. What about Allman Brothers?

Your channel rocks.... I was missing a good classic rock guitar channel on YouTube. Yours kicks ass!
