i have a question. I'm male and pretty flexible. I can sit in butterfly stretch with knees touching the ground, do the lotus with no hands and put both feet behind my head sitting down. HOWEVER i want to do the splits and vertical splits but i cant. i can put my foot on the top of the fridge and touch my toes but cant bring my body to my leg. i just want to grab my foot and bring up straight in the air lol. i stretch a lot. any tips?

perhaps free standing leg lifts & kicks trying to 'hold' extended position in the air, with resistance & partner help if regular splits is doable.
practice & perseverance my friend, no easy fast way to be flexible if not in the cards & starting young helps a lot!
training 1-2 hrs day not uncommon for those who are serious *not me*

Wow, I am amazed myself at how good i FEEL at age 56.
I attribute to healthy & balanced lifestyle...well... except...
maybe excessive on the inversions!
