Lyra sucks! I was getting ready for rematching all of the Gym Leaders and Lyra calls me and told me her Marill evolved. I went all the way back to New Bark Town and went upstairs. And... BOOM! She still has a Marill! And she told me Marill evovled like 20 times and everytime I see her she has a Marill! That's why I never answer her.

unlikely. Oddly enough the characters in G/S were loosely based on the manga, and blue (the girl) doesn't have a fixed place, while Green became the viridian gym leader and Red went to mount silver to find a cure for his injured hands and train his pokemon.
