@MutantClannfear I just really didn't think it belonged on Rock Band as a disc song. For download, sure whatever, but it's kinda just hard for the sake of hard if you're trying to beat the endless setlist on expert on something other than vocals.

@Bulzeeb15 Well yeah, but each instrument also has another song that's impossible to beat (except for bass which is pretty easy all-around) for drums, Painkiller, Battery, and Panic Attack; and for guitar, Panic Attack and Chop Suey (sorta). So blame those songs as well, if blame you must.

BTW, I hope you know the only reason they put Abnormality on the disk is because some of the members are Harmonix employees.

@MutantClannfear I'm just disappointed at the fact that the ONLY reason this is a disc song is because Abnormality is made up of Harmonix members. If they were just some regular band that submitted this to the Harmonix team, it would've NEVER been made a disc song. DLC maybe, but no-way-in-hell a disc song. Im not hating on the genre itself; I can tell a difference between good and bad grindcore, (Clouds Over California and Visions respectively.) Devildriver put feeling into their song; Ab didnt

@Bulzeeb15 Okay, for one, this song was put on the disc to provide a serious challenge. Something for people who can 5* every single other song on Expert.

I can understand your frustration at the song, but part of the reason it's there is to encourage you to get better.

And for two, Clouds Over California is NOT grindcore. It's a great song, but DevilDriver is Groove/ Melodic Death Metal, which has a COMPLETELY different feel from grindcore. Abnormality is grindcore, and good at it too.

@MutantClannfear As an actual drummer, I personally don't find it important to be able to wail on snare and crash simultaneously at obnoxiously high speeds. Like I said before, there's no feeling in this song and that saddens me as a musician. What's worse is that since Ab is part of Harmonix, they may get another disc song on RB3, (since that's what EVERYBODY wants right?) I know I'm not alone at how I feel about this song, (the majority hates it too) so I hope Harmonix can take a hint for RB3.

@Bulzeeb15 Harmonix was trying to stretch their library when they added this song. At the time, and still today, it was and is the only grindcore song for Rock Band. Whether that's coincidental or not, they added it in there to give the grindcore fans something to chew on.

Actually, I'll let you in on a little secret: I usually hate grindcore. It's repetitive and usually involves nothing but screaming. But this song actually leans out a bit into death metal due to the lack of true blast beats.

@MutantClannfear Harmonix's library dominates due to the Rock Band Store and the Rock Band Network. Visions was definitely something new when it came to disc songs, but new isn't always good. Example: When RB2 came out, we got to export RB1's setlist, except it kicked out Enter Sandman and Run to the Hills. No offense, but if two songs are gonna be eliminated for RB2's export, Visions is my, and I'm sure many other's, first choice; the second pick is debatable based on preference.

@Bulzeeb15 I'm pretty sure the reason they kicked off those few songs (you forgot "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath) because of the potential to sell them as DLC as the actual version of the songs instead of covers. Visions would probably be carried on, as were all the other "bonus" songs to Rock Band. The bottom line: death metal/ grindcore is an acquired taste, and I'm sure many people hate it, but keep in mind there are just as many people that hate, say, Paramore, Slipknot, Tool, or Metallica.

@MutantClannfear Except that RB had the original Enter Sandman and the covers of Tom Sawyer, Ballroom Blitz, Green Grass, Mississippi Queen, and Train Kept a Rollin still crossed over, and only Tom Sawyer had an Original Version available for DLC, so why they skipped those songs from crossing is still debatable. I enjoy all those bands you mentioned, but I hope the overall negative response to Visions being a disc song delivers a message to Harmonix about what the customers find fun or not.

@Bulzeeb15 Perhaps Harmonix will decide to include further songs by bands such as Abnormality via DLC to avoid anger from haters (I'm not calling you one). Though, honestly, there is no need to really release grindcore; Harmonix have already paid homage to another "hardcore" genre (death metal) with songs by Cannibal Corpse, Whitechapel, Job for a Cowboy, and Behemoth. Though these were DLC for a good reason (like Abnormality, they're also acquired tastes), and I can see how you would be uspet.
