for all u football players out there do these but at the top of ur squat push the handles up like a press. it really recreates that comeing off the line and hitting the guy infront of you. well done sir very strong!!!
i come on this site to let my opinion be heard. and it shall. i dont like this style of squat. traditional way is the best way. same goes for benching. you cant sub a good old fashion style bench or squat. but what works for u might not work for me
@pimpmstr89 Fair enough. You should know this was not my main squat movement in this workout (that was likely a back squat, front squat or box squat), simply an exercise that I used to add some volume to my legs with less stress to my lumbo-pelvic region. If by "traditional way" you mean freeweight barbell exercises, and by "best way" you mean the best way to gain strength and functional ability, then I agree!
Feels like more hips and hamstrings to me, yet it seems to hurt my knees. I tried it this way, which felt better on the knees and hit my quads better anyways.
not really big on this exercise but your depth and form looks great dude, you should put that much intensity into real squats,I can tell you are a strong guy by watching this video....

Strong, man. Nice smooth reps. How does it work the muscles differently if you face the other way with your back on the pad?

great power, I wouldn't be able to walk for a week......even with half of that weight

I haven't done those for a loooong time now--I think I could probably do that as my squat has gotten better but it would absolutely ruin me.

Thanks. Obviously it's a machine exercise. I do free weight squat variations but mostly as max effort lifts.
